Samsung To Stop Supplying LCD Displays To Apple Next Year
According to The Korea Times , Samsung and Apple relationship continues to deteriorate with Samsung wanting to terminate its deal with Apple and cease supplying liquid crystal display (LCD) to the company next year. Senior Samsung source said:
'iPad Mini' Pricing to Begin at Approximately $329
9to5Mac offered their suggestions related to the entry price point for Apple’s upcoming smaller iPad set to be released October 23rd. The entry price will be reportedly between the base model of the new, fifth-generation iPod touch ($299) and the currently shipping WiFi-only 16GB iPad 2 ($399). So, the base model of the smaller iPad will likely be priced at a minimum of $329 in the United States. A starting price of $329 makes sense. The new iPod touch will continue to be cheaper than Apple’s new tablet, while the smaller iPad’s pricing will also be nicely spaced under and between the new full-sized iPads.
Pricing of 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro Will Start At Roughly $1699
9to5Mac that it received pricing information on the forthcoming 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. According to its sources, the entry-level MacBook Pro will cost approximately $1699, $500 more than the corresponding model without Retina display. The report said:
New Mac Mini And iMac Will Retain Same Pricing, Apple To Offer 8 GB RAM Modules
According to 9to5Mac's , Apple’s new Mac mini and iMac that will launch next week will retain the pricing of the current models, which almost certainly confirms that forthcoming iMac models will not include more expensive Retina displays.
iPhone 5 Estimated Component Costs Begin At $199
HIS iSuppi has its estimate of the cost of iPhone 5’s bill of materials (BOM), which they made based on industry knowledge and information disclosed by Apple. The estimate, which doesn’t include many other costs associated with manufacturing, sales and product development, pegs the bill of materials of the entry-level iPhone 5 with 16 GB at $199. HIS iSuppi notes:

9to5Mac, Apple will introduce six versions of the iPhone 5 with code names "N42" at its media event on 12th September. The source indicates that Apple will launch white and black models at the same $199/$299/$399 prices carried by the iPhone 4S. This means that the iPhone 5’s configurations will probably remain at the same 16GB/32GB/ 64GB capacities that are available for iPhone 4S. The report said:
“Here is the part codes matrix for the new iPhone launch from a source at a well-known U.S. retail chain: N42A-USA -$199, N42B-USA-$199, N42A-USA-$299, N42B-USA-$299, N42A-USA-$399, N42B-USA-$399. A + B signify black and white”.
It is expected that Apple will accompany the iPhone launch with a number of accessories, and pre-orders will reportedly begin “soon after” iPhone 5 introduction.
Apple Will Discontinue iPhone 3GS And Introduce 8GB iPhone 4S
According to a from The Telegraph, Apple will likely discontinue the iPhone 3GS once it introduces the new iPhone at next week’s media event. The report also said that Apple will likely introduce an 8 GB iPhone 4S with a middle price point as it did with the iPhone 4 last year.
“The new update will mean that the 8GB version of the iPhone 4 will be the entry-level iPhone, probably given away free on £20 per month contracts, as the 3GS is currently”.
The Telegraph also notes that iPhone 5 will come in three different capacities, probably the same 64 GB/32 GB/16 GB line seen with the iPhone 4S.
Moving the iPhone 4 into the position that is currently occupied by the iPhone 3GS would allow more carriers to offer a free iPhone, because the iPhone 4 is sold in both CDMA and GSM versions while the iPhone 3GS is only offered in GSM version.
The iPhone 3GS would probably be most missed by customers who want to buy contract-free smartphones. Currently Apple sells contract-free, unlocked iPhone 3GS for $375 in the U.S. and at higher prices in other countries such as $455 in China. If the company elected to continue selling the device along with its three other iPhone models, it would have to cut the price even further.

13-Inch Retina MacBook Pro and Updated iMacs Reportedly Due in September-October
Ming-Chi Kuo, KGI Securities analyst, has released a new report where he expressed his estimates of the Apple's product launch schedule for the second half of this year. In his report Kuo claims that Apple will launch its 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro in the September - October timeframe. However, he predicts that early sales of the notebook might be modest, but with Retina displays Apple’s laptops will hit the market in 2013.
iPad Mini will probably cost $299
Piper Jaffray, analyst Gene Munster, believes iPad Mini will cost $299 and Apple could sell somewhere between 4-6 million iPad minis this year.
