Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 7.1.x Released





UPDATE: It works on iOS 7.1.2 as well!

Today a team of Chinese hackers have released an untethered jailbreak of iOS 7.1.1. The utility is called Pangu.

Currently a jailbreak utility is only available for Windows users.

The team credits famous hacker i0n1c, who  introduced the infoleak bug during his training. By the way i0n1c has said, "if pangu team releases a public jailbreak with vulnerabilities disclosed to them during my training I consider this in no way okay."

Evad3rs released Evasi0n 1.0.5 to jailbreak iOS 7.0.5



The evad3rs have released an updated evasi0n 7.0.5 that brings the ability to jailbreak iOS 7.0.5. The iOS 7.0.5 was released earlier this week for the some iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c models (the GSM + CDMA editions).

Evad3rs released Evasi0n iOS 7 version 1.0.1



The evad3rs team released evasi0n7 1.0.1 with the removal of TaiG App Store from the installer. No word on any other changes in the 1.0.1 version of evasi0n7. You can download the new version here.

Evad3rs Release Untethered Jailbreak for iOS 7



Good news for all those who have an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 7 - all of a sudden, evad3rs released an untethered jailbreak for the seventh version of Apple’s mobile operating system. Evasion 7 jailbreak utility was released December 22nd. A kind of a Christmas present from hackers, huh?

Sn0wBreeze 2.9.13 released: custom firmware and jailbreak for iOS 6.1.2



iH8Sn0w released Sn0wBreeze 2.9.13 that still supports untethered jailbreak of iOS 6.1.2. Version 2.9.13 fixes several issues and bugs found in earlier sn0wbreeze releases.

Sn0wbreeze 2.9.13 supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4G. It does not work with A5/A6 devices, like iPad 2, iPad 3, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, etc.

Sn0wbreeze can be used to create a custom firmware with jailbreak and preserve iPhone modem (baseband) version for unlock. It can also be used to upgrade iPhone 3GS modem version to 06.15.

Step-by-step Tutorial: How to UnTether Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3GS Using Sn0wBreeze 2.9.11 (Windows) [iOS 6.1.2]



UPDATE: Apple released iOS 6.1.3, so you can NOT restore to earlier firmware (both original and custom), unless you have saved your SHSH keys. If you are on iOS 6.0-6.1.2 you can use evasi0n to jailbreak.

Using this tutorial you will be able to create a custom firmware, untether jailbreak and unlock iOS 6.1.2 running on iPhone 3GS. This tutorial uses Sn0wBreeze 2.9.11 for Windows.

Sn0wBreeze 2.9.11 allows users to preserve modem version for unlock.

Sn0wBreeze 2.9.11 does not allow users to update modem version to 06.15. If you need 06.15 - just use redsn0w (tutorial is here).

Evasi0n 1.3 Released With Support for Jailbreaking iOS 6.1.1



The Evad3rs have released Evasi0n 1.3, an update to the jailbreak utility that brings support for the new iOS 6.1.1 iPhone 4S firmware. Additionally, the team notes that OS X 10.5 should be fully supported now and the linux glibc requirement has been lowered to 2.3.

Update to iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak utility released - Evasi0n 1.2



The Evad3rs Team have released an update to the Evasi0n jailbreak utility. Evasi0n 1.2 fixes timezone issue in evasi0n binary if client fails to correct it and disables OTA updates, which are not good for jailbroken devices.

If you're already jailbroken - there is no need to rejailbreak, just run Cydia and install updates there. There is nothing in evasi0n 1.2 that is not already in Cydia.
