iLoveHandles turns nano iPods into oversized watches

iwatch

What happens when Apple introduces a square-shaped new iPod and adorns it with an analog watch face for a lock screen? A whole new cottage industry sprouts up, whereby entrepreneurial types dust off old and mostly worthless watch straps, cut out an iPod nano-shaped compartment in them, and charge you $19.99 for the privilege of turning your tiny PMP into a somewhat bulky wristwatch. The saddest part about this is that we've got a feeling they might be on to a winner here.

itunes

Average iTunes operation costs nearly $75 million dollars per month. This is more than double 2009′s average monthly costs. The rise is credited to the new features Apple has recently implemented into iTunes as well as the 18 million apps downloaded each day. That’s roughly 200 apps per second.

Control iPhone Apps With Your BRAIN (video)

brain

You could argue that the iPhone's biggest UI leap was turning the user's finger into a stylus. Now, with the PLX XWave headest, you can turn your BRAIN into the stylus.

Let's look at the following statement of the editor of Wired, Chris Anderson:

"T-Mobile's manager told him that the iPhone 3GS (not a 4 model) is going to arrive a bit later this year".

Frankly speaking, many users are disappointed because they are looking forward to getting the iPhone 4.

iPhone 4 Approved for Sale in China!

Screen-shot-2010-09-08-at-13.37.25-670x361

It seems that the new iPhone 4 from Apple plans to conquer a well-supplied market of China, as this device has got an important approval from government agencies.

Apple has recently won the network license of China for its iPhone 4 from the Certification Center of Telecommunication Equipment. It fully corresponds to the statements of China Unicom, a carrier of Apple products in China, which said that it is planning to sell iPhones a bit later this year.

It is a rather interesting idea of Apple, as it is going to open a lot of retail stores all over the territory of China to attract more customers.

Comex Won't Release iOS 4.1 Jailbreak

iOS4.14.2Jailbreak

Only a few days passed since Dev Team has confirmed that Comex will try to jailbreak iOS 4.1, using other exploit. However, according to the response received on Twitter, it became known that Comex may not take part in the new iOS 4.x jailbreak.

Comex replied to the message on Twitter in such a way: "ariif, the next jailbreak might not be from me :) ".

Of course, it does not mean that Comex leaves the scene and would not take part in jailbreaking as Geohot, most likely it is only this version he isn’t planning to jailbreak. Nevertheless the smile in his reply certainly means something good...

New nanos connect to TV’s… for slideshows

tv

A fairly unknown feature about the new iPod nano is its ability to connect to a TV via composite cables for photo slideshow viewing on the big screen. As the diagram below displays, it’s quite simple.

Once you’re all connected, set your TV to the right source setting and start viewing your awesome pics. No flicks, unfortunately.

iTunes 10 Plays Media from Any iOS Device, No Syncing Required

itunes

It may have happened in a later iTunes 9 update, but iTunes 10 definitely includes a very helpful update. Plug in any iOS device, iPhones included, and you can play its music or videos without having to make a tricky sync.

iTunes' habit of insisting that every new iPod or iPhone plugged in must be a new purchase that you want to sync to your Library—and therefore wipe out all media on the device—was among the worst of its habits. In iTunes 10, and perhaps some up-to-date iTunes 9 versions, you can now plug in an iOS device, tell iTunes to Cancel the sync request, and from there on out simply play music or movies off whatever device you have plugged in through that iconic white cable.

Jailbreak and Unlock for iOS 4.1 is possible

According to the latest tweets from different hackers (MuscleNerd, pod2g and others) the exploit for iOS 4.1 has been already discovered:

Works on 4.1 (!) iBSS iv=c2c5416472e5a0d6f0a25a123d5a2b1c key=1fbc7dcafaec21a150a51eb0eb99367550e24a077b128831b28c065e61f894a0

I just successfully updated to 4.1 without a baseband update. PLEASE wait for 4.1.0 TinyUmbrella!!!

Crazy timing that @pod2g got latest exploit just as 4.1 went public (lots of work left...keep away from 4.1 for now!)

congrats to @pod2g for the latest exploit and also @p0sixninja who have been trying for months.

This means that the jailbreak and unlock for iPhone and iPod Touch is possible. However please be patient and wait for the utilities.
