Mini-humanoid robot with iPhone head [Video]
A robot hobbyist has developed an application that lets the iPhone 3GS function as the brain and face of a miniature humanoid robot.
The body of the robot — named “Robochan” — consists of a Kondo KHR-2HV humanoid. The iPhone head, which attaches to the body via the dock connector, displays various facial expressions while functioning as the controller. Using Robochan’s iPhone interface, the user can program it to function as an alarm clock, dance to music, and perform other moves based on user interaction.

iPod 3,1 was caught in the internet
Apple’s third generation iPod touch seems to be going out for a little web-based test drive. Designated iPod touch 3,1, we first saw code hints of it in the iPhone 3.0 beta firmware, and then in rumors about the iPod touch getting a camera. Now, according to app analytics provider PinchMedia:
we’ve been noticing an “iPod 3,1″ string appearing in our version reporting, signifying what we believe to be a new yet-to-be-released version of the iPod Touch.
For the last two years, Apple has reveled new iPod touch models during their fall music-focused events. Last year, the second generation iPod touch debuted at Let’s Rock alongside iPhone 2.1, and iTunes 8. Since Apple likes their product cycles, does this mean we’ll see iPod touch 3,1 and iPhone 3.1 sometime this September?

Today is a depressing day for all of the South Park fans out there. The South Park app has been rejected by Apple:
"We first announced our iPhone App back in October, after we submitted the Application to Apple for approval. After a couple of attempts to get the application approved, we are sad to say that our app has been rejected. According to Apple, the content was "potentially offensive." But Apple did admit that the standards would evolve, citing that when iTunes first launched it didn't sell any music with explicit lyrics. At this point, we are sad to say, the app is dead in the water. Sorry, South Park fans."
Rumors say the app was rejected from the Apps store twice. The content is pretty much what you see on the show.
