Apple Watch 2 Components Leak Online [Video]
A new video has recently appeared on the Internet showing some of the components for the rumored Apple Watch 2 that is expected to be officially unveiled later this year. The list of leaked parts includes a screen, touch screen digitizer, Force Touch gasket, and the battery. This is probably the first large leak of the component for the second-generation wearable device.
The video comes from a website Byte.co.uk. It was reportedly shot at one of the factories in Shenzhen. The new Apple Watch screen is a bit thinner, the battery has the capacity of 1.28 WH, and the Force Touch gasket has a revamped layout.
The new Apple Watch 2 battery is more powerful at 1.28 WH compared to Apple Watch 1 which has 0.98 WH. It also has an additional chipset on the connector flex and is thicker than Apple Watch 1. Notably, this lines up with a previous battery leak.
Apple may release the updated Apple Watch in the fall. Chances are, we will see the new smartwatch at the iPhone media event, but we can not be totally sure about that. Stay tuned for updates.
