As noted by usually-reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the long-awaited 4-inch iPhone SE will get a 12-megapixel camera. The expert also claims the phone will be equipped with an efficient A9 processor, NFC for Apple Pay and resemble the iPhone 5s introduced back in 2013 in terms of design.
According to the latest report from reliable sources, the smaller 4 inch iPhone will be called the iPhone SE, not the iPhone 5SE. If the rumors turn out to be legitimate, we may see the first iPhone without the number in its name.
Several new drawings showing the design of the long-awaited 4-inch iPhone 5se have been recently shared by a case manufacturer. The drawings prove that in terms of design the handset will be similar to the iPhone 5s. The only noticeable difference is the Sleep/Wake button that has been moved to the right side of the device. Sources claim that the edges of the iPhone 5se will be more similar to the edges of the iPhone 6, however, that’s not very conspicuous. The most important thing is that the iPhone 5s cases should fit the newer model, even though they will make it nearly impossible to use the side Sleep/Wake button.
A new incredibly interesting and quite awkward iPhone 7 concept has recently appeared on YouTube. The new iPhone mockup has been created by Sonitdac and a thing that makes it completely different from all other concepts is expandable widescreen display. While it is obvious that Apple won’t release such a device this year, the idea is actually quite innovative and worth researching, I guess.
The video showing the aforementioned iPhone 7 concept is available below.
Apple’s main rival, Samsung, has just unveiled its new flagship devices, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. In terms of design, both gadgets are pretty similar to their predecessors, however, there are several features that make these phones completely different.
As it was already reported, Apple is expected to release a 4-inch iPhone called presumably the iPhone 5SE as soon as in March. Some sources believe the device will get a pink color option. The widely-rumored iPhone 7, which is set to be released in the fall, may be equipped with a dual-lens camera. With these things in mind, CURVED/labs experts have recently created new concepts of the aforementioned handsets and shared them on YouTube.
As it was already reported, Foxconn is currently responsible for assembling the 4-inch iPhone 5SE units. According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Apple has recently made another firm, Wistron, an additional supplier of the widely-rumored smaller handset to avoid supply shortages and other risks.
As the release of the widely-rumored iPhone 7 becomes more imminent, more rumors and concepts showing possible design of the handset appear on the Internet. Today I would like to show you the concept created by Arthur Reis that demonstrates a thin and sleek iPhone lacking traditional 3.5mm headphone jack with barely noticeable antenna bands across the back panel, wireless charging capabilities, Force Touch, and other features we expect from the device that is expected to be released this fall.
Check out the video showing the handset and its main features.
According to the latest report from ETNews, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has become a sole manufacturer of the processor for the upcoming iPhone 7 that is expected to be released this fall. The company will reportedly be using the 10-nanometer manufacturing process and this has become the main reason for Apple to choose the Taiwanese manufacturer, not Samsung.
According to the latest job posting that can be found on Apple’s official website, the company is looking for a new software engineer capable of creating new watch faces for the Apple Watch. Apple plans to hire to someone with at least 3 years of experience in the required field.
It is Sunday today, which means it’s high time I told you about the most interesting posts of the last seven days. Most of the articles this week deal with Apple’s upcoming media event scheduled for March 15th as well as with the 4-inch iPhone 5SE, iPad Air 3 and the updated Apple Watch that are expected to be unveiled at this event. There are also several posts connected with the iPhone 7 and its tech specs as well as with the untethered jailbreak of iOS 9.2.1 and iOS 9.3 Beta.
According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, the long-awaited iPhone 7 will feature a new design. MacRumors reporters, who cite reliable insiders, claim that the handset will get two noticeable differences. While the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s both have a protruding rear camera, the next generation handset will likely get a flush one. This will be a usual camera, not the dual one, sources add. However, chances are, the larger iPhone 7 Plus will get a dual-lens camera. The second major difference in design is the absence of traditional antenna bands across the rear panel.
As noted by several reliable news websites, the media event dedicated to the new 4-inch iPhone 5SE, iPad Air 3 and the updated Apple Watch will take place on March 15th. This date may change, sources believe, as Apple hasn’t yet confirmed the schedule for the upcoming event.
According to the latest report from Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster, in March Apple may release an ‘S’ version of the Apple Watch that would feature a better processor and battery. In terms of design, the wearable device will remain similar to the current model, the expert believes.
