Apple Hasn't Yet Reached Licensing Agreement with Music Labels Ahead of Launch of Its New Music Service





This year's Worldwide Developer Conference is expected to be very interesting and full of events. As you already know, the guys from Cupertino will officially unveil the next-generation Apple TV with a redesigned remote control, A8 processor inside and the support of Siri and its own App Store. Earlier it was reported that Apple is also planning to announce the redesigned Beats-based streaming music service, which may be integrated directly into iOS 9. According to the latest report from Billboard, the debut of the new music service may take place a bit later as Apple hasn't yet reached the agreements with music labels, which are required for the launch of Beats-based service this summer. Some sources believe Apple will manage to reach the licensing agreements by June, others say it is impossible.

Accessory Maker to Create Battery Strap to Charge Apple Watch Using Hidden 6-Pin Port



As you probably know, the Apple Watch comes with a magnetic wireless charger. Users have to charge their wearable devices every night to make them work throughout the day. According to what one accessory manufacturer has recently told the reporters, there is a possibility to use the hidden 6-pin port on the smartwatch to charge it with the help of something called battery strap directly while wearing the gadget on the wrist. The manufacturer is reportedly working on a flexible battery in the form of the Apple Watch band and will announce it in the near future.

Industrial Rendering Reveals Widely-Rumored iPad Pro Dimensions



According to the latest industrial rendering, which appeared on the Internet on Friday, the long-awaited larger-screened iPad Pro may indeed get a 12.9-inch screen. As to the dimensions of the tablet, they might be as follows: 305.70mm x 222.60mm x 7.20mm. The most-recent rendering also proves the rumors about four speakers located at the top and the bottom of the device as well as the suggestions about Apple’s plans to leave the ports and buttons layout similar to the layout of the iPad Air 2.

Apple Watch Constrained at Launch Because of Faulty Taptic Engines



According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, the supply of the Apple Watch was heavily constrained at launch because of faulty taptic engine units. The part manufactured by a Chinese firm called AAC Technologies Holdings Inc. turned out to be defective. What is interesting is that taptic engines created by a Japanese supplier Nidec Corp were working just fine. It should be noted, however, that this information came from reliable insiders, not directly from Apple. The guys from Cupertino refused to comment on the issue. I can only imagine what could have happened if all the parts had been defective...

Apple to Reject Apple Watch Apps with Telling Time as Main Feature



Apple has recently updated its App Store Review Guidelines. According to this updated document, the guys from Cupertino will reject the Apple Watch apps designed to only tell time. Although this sounds a bit strange, this is the reality. If you an the Apple Watch and want to change the watch face, you can easily do this using the built-in presets created by the guys from Cupertino.

Apple Releases Second iOS 8.4 Beta to Developers for Testing



Apple has just released the second beta of iOS 8.4 to developers for testing. The release came less than two weeks after the release of the very first iOS 8.4 beta, which could boast of a completely redesigned Music app with lots of new tweaks as well as a number of bug fixes and performance improvements. According to the release notes, the latest version of Apple's mobile operating system features only some minor stability enhancements. As to the new features, the developers haven't yet noticed any. I will let you know if they find anything new.

App Store for Apple Watch Goes Live [Images]



Last year, during the official media event devoted to Apple's first-ever wearable gadget called the Apple Watch, Apple CEO Tim Cook and other company executives promised that the smartwatch will not only run its own special modification of iOS, but also will boast its own App Store with applications designed for this new device. Suppliers in Brazil and Vietnam Now Produce Cables for Apple



As you probably know, Apple suppliers responsible for manufacture of all kinds of cables, chargers and things like that used to be located only in China. According to the updated support page created to help customers recognize Apple’s certified products among the extensive amount of counterfeit ones, the production of authorized accessories for iPhones, iPads and Macs has been recently moved to Vietnam and Brazil. This means that currently Apple has partners in at least three countries, namely, China, Vietnam and Brazil.

New Cases for Upcoming 12-inch iPad Pro Leak Online

Supplemental Update for OS X 10.10.3 Is Now Available for All Users



As you probably know, Apple’s OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 was officially released to users worldwide on April 8th. Following this release, the guys from Cupertino on Thursday made the so-called supplemental update for OS X 10.10.3 available for download. According to the release notes, this update can boast of a fix for the bug in the video driver, which made it difficult or impossible for Mac to start up when running certain applications created to capture video.

The iFixit team has recently performed a teardown of the brand new 12-inch Retina MacBook. As it turns out, although the laptop is full of modern hardware, it is incredibly difficult to disassemble it. Apple Releases First iOS 8.4 Beta with All-New Music App



Apple on Tuesday seeded the first iOS 8.4 beta to developers for testing. The release took place just five days after the official release of iOS 8.3 to users worldwide. The most-recent version of Apple’s mobile operating system can boast of several minor improvements and one easily-noticeable feature, which is a revamped Music app, which is not only working faster, but also has a completely new design.

WWDC 2015 to Take Place in San Francisco on June 8th-12th



Apple on Tuesday announced that its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place at Moscone West center in San Francisco. It will begin on June 8th and last till June 12th. According to what the guys from Cupertino said, this year’s conference will be the largest ever in terms of the number of sessions for developers and the number of Apple engineers present at the event. Apart from the conference itself, Apple will organize its traditional Apple Design Awards to highlight the best third-party apps of the year.
