Apple Releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 Beta 4 to Developers for Testing





Apple on Tuesday seeded the fourth beta of OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 to developers for testing. The release took place about two weeks after the release of the third OS X 10.10.4 beta and roughly a month after the debut of the very first 10.10.4 beta. As you might have guessed, the latest testing version of Apple’s desktop operating system can boast of a number of stability and performance improvements as well as bug fixes.

Jonathan Ive Gets Promoted to Chief Design Officer



According to the latest email sent by Apple CEO Tim Cook to the employees, Jonathan Ive has been recently promoted to Chief Design Officer. In case you don’t know, earlier he was Apple's Senior Vice President of Design. Because of this promotion, two other people will get new posts at Apple. These are Rich Howarth, who will become the head of Industrial Design department and Alan Dye, who’s supposed to get the post of the head of User Interface department.

Apple to Remodel Its London Apple Store on Regent Street



Apple is about to remodel one of the most beautiful and popular Stores, located on the Regent Street in London historical center. This is what is stated in the recent application to Westminster authorities. It is reported that Apple has concluded an agreement with the award-winning architecture firm Foster and Partners. They will be in charge of redesigning the exterior, as well as interior of the store.

Apple to Announce Next-Gen iPhone in August, Release to Come in September?



According to the latest report released by usually reliable KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the guys from Cupertino may officially announce the next-generation iPhone in August and release the device in September. This report goes in line with the rumors, which appeared earlier this week suggesting that Apple may change its usual update cycle and release the new iPhone model or models in August instead of September. It should be noted, however, that Apple has never organized any media events devoted to new product launches in August, so this may be the first time.

Apple to Add Apple Watch Font to iOS 9 and OS X 10.11?



According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Apple is planning to update the look of both iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 with a new font that was originally developed for the Apple Watch and is currently used on the wearable device. This new font will replace Helvetica Neue, which was introduced with the release of iOS 7 in 2013. In case you don’t know, the new font is called San Francisco; it was first shown to public last September.

New Patent Filing Describes Apple's Plans to Improve Fingerprint Recognition and Change Home Button



According to the latest patent filing, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to expand the functionality of the fingerprint sensor and the Home button. This filing contains several separate patents describing new technologies that can possibly be added to the next generations of iPhones and iPads. One the most interesting inventions from the aforementioned document is a touch display with several fingerprint sensors. This special display will allow the user to define a special part on the front surface of the iPhone responsible for unlocking the phone, confirming purchases etc. Apart from that, Apple wants to make the Home button found on iOS devices more functional by adding the recognition of gestures. This will allow to navigate through websites and play games using the Home button.

Leaked Images Show Next iPhone Rival - Galaxy S6 Active



As you probably know, Apple’s main rival, Samsung, released two new smartphones, namely, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge earlier this year. Both handsets are made of aluminum and have a pretty nice design. According to the latest images posted online by @evleaks, in the near future, the South Korean tech giant will release something called the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. The rugged version of the flagship device will reportedly feature a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display, a 14-nanometer Exynos 7420 processor and two cameras, rear and front-facing, with 16 megapixels and 5 megapixels respectively. Looks like there will be no fingerprint sensor. However, the waterproof and dustproof device will get a 3.500mAh battery.

Here's How New iPhone Air Concept from SET Solution Looks Like



As you probably know, Apple's iPhone 6 is currently one of the thinnest smartphones on market. It features a sleek design and a display with incredibly thin bezels. The next-generation iPhone, which is expected to be released in the second half of this year is expected to become even thinner.

Keeping this in mind, SET Solution has recently created a new concept of the device called the iPhone Air. This model can boast of the 4-inch screen, the thickness of only 4.3mm, the height of 122.7mm and the width of 56.9mm. Moreover, it features a Full HD display and the usual Home button with Touch ID sensor. As you may see below, the latest video from the researchers is based on Apple's iPad Air commercial.

The release took place two weeks after the release OS X 10.10.4 Beta 2. The very first version of Yosemite 10.10.4 was released in April.

Kanye West Spotted with All-Gold Apple Watch on Wrist



As you probably know, there are three versions of the long-awaited Apple’s wearable device, namely, the Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Sport and the Apple Watch Edition. These smartwatches are made of aluminum, stainless steel and 18-karat gold. The prices start from $350 for the entry-level aluminum model and end with incredible $15.000 for the high-end gold version of the gadget.

Not surprisingly, only several people have been spotted wearing the most expensive gold model of the Apple Watch. Kanye West is one of those people. The reporters saw him wearing the gold Edition with a gold Link Bracelet during the Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game. It is rather strange as many of the initial customers haven’t yet received their orders.

New iPhone 7 Concept by Martin Hajek [Images]



As you probably know, last year, Apple released two smartphones, namely, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. According to the latest rumors and the reports from reliable insiders, this year Apple may unveil two or even three smartphones at once: one with 4.7-inch display, one with with 5.5-inch display and one smaller with a 4-inch display. If to speak about other specs of the long-anticipated devices, they remain unknown.

Keeping in mind all the rumors, a well-known concept designer Martin Hajek has recently created its own model of the next-generation iPhone called presumably the iPhone 7 (or the iPhone 6s). Apple to Launch Its New Music Service in Many Countries This June?



Following the report about Apple’s problems with reaching agreement with music labels ahead of the debut of the widely-rumored Beats-based streaming music service, a new rumor appeared on the Internet suggesting that the service will be launched in a number of countries in late June. Moreover, alongside the revamped subscription-based music service, the guys from Cupertino will reportedly launch an updated version of iTunes Radio. The exact number of first-wave countries remains unknown, however, reliable insiders claim this will be a ‘long list’.
