New iPhone to Get New Home Button - Rumor



According to the latest report from a Japanese website Macotakara, the next-generation iPhone called either the iPhone 7 or the iPhone 6SE will get a brand new flush Home button with integrated Touch ID fingerprint sensor. Today’s report goes in line with previous rumors suggesting that Apple may be planning to get rid of the physical button to improve the reliability of the iPhone.

Next-Gen iPhone to Be Called iPhone 6SE - Rumor



According to the latest report from a German website called apfelpage.de, the next-generation iPhone will be called the iPhone 6SE, not the iPhone 7. This rumor makes sense if we take into account the reports suggesting Apple may be planning to start releasing major updates for the iPhone lineup once in three years, not once in two years. Apart from that, the ‘6SE’ branding suits the next-gen iPhone perfectly, as in terms of design and functionality it is expected to be very similar to the iPhone 6s released in 2015.

New Leaks Show Design of Next-Generation iPhone



As the iPhone 7 release date comes nearer, more and more leaks appear on the Internet. Today, a new photo has been posted to the Chinese social network Weibo comparing the alleged iPhone 7 rear panel to that of the iPhone 7 Plus or Pro.

As you can see below, the main difference between the iPhone 7 component and the part of the larger handset is the presence of the rumored dual camera. The antenna bands on the image seem to look a bit different from those we have seen recently.

Apple Car to Be Released in 2021, Not in 2020 - Rumor



According to the latest report from The Information, the launch of the widely-rumored electric vehicle designed and manufactured by Apple may take place in 2021. Earlier this year, rumors appeared on the Internet suggesting the company was planning to start selling its car in 2020. 9.3% of Current U.S. iPhone Owners Are Planning to Switch to iPhone 7



According to the results of the poll conducted among the U.S. customers, only 9.3% of current iPhone users are planning to upgrade to the newer iPhone 7 this year. The reason for such poor results is connected with rumors suggesting the iPhone 7 lineup will largely resemble the iPhone 6s lineup externally. If Apple changes the design of the iPhone in 2016, 25.2% of current users may upgrade.

Evan Blass Reveals Two iPhone 7 Codenames



A well-known insider Evan Blass has recently revealed the codenames of two upcoming iPhone models. The presence of two codenames may mean that Apple is planning to release the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and only one larger 5.5-inch model called either iPhone 7 Plus or iPhone 7 Pro. In case you don’t know, recent leaks and reports from suppliers indicated that in September we may see three smartphone versions, namely, the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus and a brand new model with dual camera and Smart Connector called the iPhone 7 Pro.

TSMC to Be Sole Supplier of A10 and A11 Chips for Upcoming iPhones



According to the latest report from a Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News, Apple has made the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) the sole supplier not only of the A10 chip, but also for the A11 chip that is expected to be used in the iPhone 8 scheduled for 2018. This means that the iPhone 6s is the last iPhone that is powered by Samsung’s processors alongside the chips manufactured by TSMC.

A10 Chip from iPhone 7 Is 18% Faster Than A9 from iPhone 6s



According to the latest report shared by Techtastic, the A10 64-bit processor embedded to the rumored iPhone 7 may be 18% faster than the A9 CPU that powers the current iPhone 6s. The statement is based on early Geekbench 3 single-core benchmarks. The chart below shows that the new processor scored 3000 points. The score is only 10 points smaller than the result of the A9X processor found inside of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro released in 2015.

Yet another leaked iPhone 7 part has recently appeared on the Internet.
