48% of Apple Music Subscribers Don’t Use This Service - Analysts





According to the latest data from a research firm MusicWatch, 48% of those who signed up for the Apple Music free trial aren’t currently using the service. The long-awaited Beats-based music service lets people with iOS 8.4 or later on their compatible iPhones, iPads and iPod touches get access to thousands of songs for free for three months. Despite this fact, only a half of subscribers listen to free music right now.

iPad Pro with 2,732×2,048 Display Spotted in Analytics



Looks like Apple is indeed working on a larger iPad called presumably the iPad Pro. According to a report shared by a mobile analytics firm called AppSee, the guys from Cupertino are currently testing a device with the display resolution of 2,732×2,048 pixels and a model identifier iPad6,8. The firm has also spotted two new iPhones, namely, the iPhone8,1 and iPhone8,2. This goes in line with previous rumors indicating that the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 6s are being tested at the moment.

Apple Officially Announced 'Apple Music Festival 2015’



Apple has just announced that it will organize something called 'Apple Music Festival' this September. The big event will take place at London's Roundhouse and feature Pharrell Williams, One Direction, Florence, The Machine, Disclosure and a number of other popular bands and artists. The festival, formerly known as the iTunes Festival, will take place from September 19 to September 28.

Apple to Start Selling New iPhones on September 18th - Rumor



According to the latest report from Macerkopf, Apple will launch the long-anticipated iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus on September 18th. The start of sales will take place a little bit more than a week after the debut of new devices at a special media event scheduled for September 9th. New OS X Vulnerability Allows Hackers Gain Root Access Without Password



A developer from Italy named Luca Todesco has recently discovered a new zero-day vulnerability, which lets hackers gain root access in OS X Yosemite without using a password. This vulnerability is similar to the DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE exploit that has been patched in OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. The developer has reported the vulnerability to Apple, however, it hasn’t been fixed by the guys from Cupertino in the latest update. I honestly hope that Apple developers will react somehow and close a hole in OS X security as soon as possible.

Leaked Images Reveal New A9 Chip Design



Several new images showing diagrams of the iPhone 6s logic board have recently appeared on the Internet. According to these diagrams, the logic board of the upcoming iPhone will feature a new SiP (System-in-Package) design. This design will combine several chips in one larger chip. In particular, the power management and the baseband chips will be embedded into the A9 CPU.

Apple Will Launch iPad mini 4 Later This Year, Won’t Release iPad Air 3



According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Apple won’t release the iPad Air 3 this year. DigiTimes reporters claim that Apple has decided to focus on the development of the smaller iPad mini 4. In case you don’t know, this tablet is expected to get a thinner body as well as several hardware improvements. Apple Releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 to Users Worldwide



As you already know, the guys from Cupertino have recently released iOS 8.4.1 with fixes for Apple Music and patches for vulnerabilities used for untethered jailbreak. Apart from that, Apple has released OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 with a fix for DYLD_PRINT_TO_FILE vulnerability and a number of other enhancements. The release comes two weeks after the release of the last beta for developers and about a month after the official launch of OS X 10.10.5.

Apple Releases iOS 8.4.1, Patches Vulnerabilities Used for Jailbreak



Apple has released iOS 8.4.1 with a number of stability enhancements and bug fixes for Apple Music. Apart from adding several minor improvements to the streaming music service and mobile operating system in general, the guys from Cupertino have patched a number of vulnerabilities used by Taig tool for untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.4. If you have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and want to keep your device hacked, stay away from iOS 8.4.1. Well, at least now. If someone releases untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.4.1, I will let you know as soon as possible.

Apple has recently begun contacting some Apple TV customers via email in order to inform them about a faulty part inside of their set-top boxes. Apple Asks A9 Chip Suppliers for Price Cuts - DigiTimes



According to the latest report from DigiTimes, Apple has recently asked Samsung and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company to reduce the prices for A9 chips. While the South Korean tech giant has already agreed to cut the prices, TSMC is inclined to refuse. Sources claim this may affect the number of orders for A9 chips the company receives. Looks like Samsung will become the main supplier of 16-nanometer processors for the upcoming iPhone 6s.
