Apple Releases iOS 9.0.1 with Numerous Fixes and Improvements





A couple of days ago, Apple released iOS 9 to users worldwide. The update turned out to be quite unstable and many users reported various issues connected with it. As can be seen on Apple Support Communities, the most popular was the one causing iPhones and iPads to freeze on the ‘Slide to Upgrade’ screen. To resolve this issue and a fix a number of other bugs causing constant app crashes and lags, Apple on Wednesday released iOS 9.0.1 with numerous changes. iOS 9 Adoption Rate Reaches 50% - App Store Data



According to Apple’s latest press-release devoted to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus pre-sales and retail stores availability, the recently-released iOS 9 is now installed on more that 50% of active devices. Even though iOS 9 bricked a wide number of iPhones and iPads and caused a number of compatibility and performance issues, its adoption rate is close to setting up a new record.

Apple Releases iOS 9 with New Features to Users Worldwide



Just as we expected, Apple on Wednesday released iOS 9 to public worldwide. If you have a compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the update should be available in the Settings app under General - Software Update or once you connect your device to iTunes. It should be noted, however, that Apple servers are currently overloaded, so if you don’t see any available updates, you should wait for a while.

iOS 8 Adoption Rate Reaches 87% Ahead of iOS 9 Launch



As was announced at the last week’s media event devoted to new iPhones and iPads, the long-awaited iOS 9 will become available for public on September 16th. Several hours before the release of iOS 9, iOS 8 adoption rate has reached 87%. The data comes directly from Apple, it was gathered on September 14th with the help of special App Store mechanism. We can believe what we see.

The event which promises to unveil two new iPhones, new iPads, Apple TV, iOS 9, and much more.

Requirements: Live streaming uses Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.

iPhone 7 to Be as Thick as iPod touch and iPad Air 2 - Ming-Chi Kuo



According to the latest report from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is planning to make the iPhone 7 as thin as the iPod touch and the iPad Air 2. In a document obtained by AppleInsider reporters Kuo suggests that the 2016 iPhone may get the thickness of 6.0mm or 6.5mm. Apart from that, the expert believes that Apple will continue using Force Touch displays in the upcoming iPhones. First smartphone, which is expected to support the technology currently used in the Apple Watch and a number of MacBook models, is the iPhone 6s.

Apple Stops Signing iOS 8.4, Downgrades Are Impossible Now



Apple has just stopped signing iOS 8.4. This means it is currently impossible to downgrade to this version of Apple’s mobile operating system.

If you have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, make sure you don’t upgrade to iOS 8.4.1 accidentally. Although it seems that this version is jailbreakable, currently there are no tools capable of hacking devices with IOS 8.4.1 on board. If you try jailbreaking your device and then something goes wrong, you will have to restore to iOS 8.4.1, not iOS 8.4.

48% of Apple Music Subscribers Don’t Use This Service - Analysts



According to the latest data from a research firm MusicWatch, 48% of those who signed up for the Apple Music free trial aren’t currently using the service. The long-awaited Beats-based music service lets people with iOS 8.4 or later on their compatible iPhones, iPads and iPod touches get access to thousands of songs for free for three months. Despite this fact, only a half of subscribers listen to free music right now.

Apple Releases iOS 8.4.1, Patches Vulnerabilities Used for Jailbreak



Apple has released iOS 8.4.1 with a number of stability enhancements and bug fixes for Apple Music. Apart from adding several minor improvements to the streaming music service and mobile operating system in general, the guys from Cupertino have patched a number of vulnerabilities used by Taig tool for untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.4. If you have a jailbroken iPhone, iPad and iPod touch and want to keep your device hacked, stay away from iOS 8.4.1. Well, at least now. If someone releases untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.4.1, I will let you know as soon as possible.

Apple on Tuesday seeded the fifth iOS 9 beta to developers and the third beta to the members of the public beta testing program.
