Jessica Lessin, a former Wall Street Journal reporter, claims that the company from Cupertino has recently acquired another firm, which can possibly help to improve Apple’s Maps application. This time its Embark - a small outfit that works on apps for navigating mass transit.
Apple Has Released Safari 6.1 Seed 6 for Developers
Apple has released Safari 6.1 Seed 6 for developers. It is compatible with OS X Lion and Mountain Lion and requires Security Update 2013-002. Here’s what the company from Cupertino says about the new beta-version:
This pre-release version of Safari includes WebKit enhancements for better text, layout, and accessibility support. It also includes a redesigned Web Inspector with a streamlined toolbar, a new Activity Viewer, and other great tools for building and debugging your website. Real Racing 3 for iOS Updates with New Features
One of the most popular games on the App Store - Real Racing 3 - was updated on August 21. As to the improvements, EA says it added the difficulty tuning, new cars, tracks, events, cameras and more to the game.

Apple Released iOS 7 Beta 6 to Developers
Apple has released iOS 7 Beta 6 today, so you’re welcome to download it. This release should have occurred next week, but somehow the company from Cupertino decided not to wait for so long. According to the rumors, this is the last Beta before the official iOS 7 release on September 10th.
The size of the new update is only 13.5MB, so obviously it includes only some minor changes and bug fixes. Anyway, if there would be some improvements that are worth mentioning, I’ll immediately inform you.
So far, the only thing I know is that this Beta fixes the problem with iTunes in the Cloud connected with content downloads and purchases.
Roku App for iOS Got the Update
Roku is a streaming player that allows you to watch photos and videos taken using your iPhone, listen to music etc. on your TV. All you need is a Roku multimedia console, an iOS device and a Roku app installed on your smartphone or tablet. This application is available on the App Store and it has been updated recently with the ability to stream your favorite videos to the large TV screen.
WhatsApp Introduces Voice Messages
WhatsApp will get a Voice Messages feature. This is the official information from the application developers. On the video below you may see the instructions on how to send and receive the voice messages from your friends and acquaintances.

Pebble Smartwatch in an iOS application developed for... Pebble smartwatch. If you don’t know what’s this, I’ll try to explain. In short, this is a tiny smart gadget you wear on your wrist that is paired to your iPhone via Bluetooth. And here there’s an update for the app that controls this gadget.

Google Chrome for iOS got another update today. As to the features, embedded to a new version of Google browser, well, there’re only two of them. Both of them are connected with efficiency and stability. If you’re using iOS 5.1 at the moment - you should definitely download this app.
