Home Sharing to Be Restored in iOS 9 - Eddy Cue



According to what Apple’s Senior Vice President Eddy Cue shared on Twitter, the guys from Cupertino are currently planning to restore the Home Sharing feature for music in iOS 9, which is expected to be released to public later this year. In case you don’t know, Home Sharing was pulled out from iOS 8.4 and many users started complaining about this.

New Schematics Show that Next-Gen iPhone Will Be Slightly Thicker



According to the latest images showing leaked schematics for the next-generation iPhone, the handset will get the same design as its predecessor. However, the device may become a bit thicker due to new hardware components, Chinese insiders claim. Hackers Release Taig 2.3.1 Beta with Cydia 1.1.20



Taig team has recently released a beta version of of its tool for untethered jailbreak of iOS 8.4. This version has an index 2.3.1 and contains only one improvement, which is Cydia 1.1.20 integration. In case you don’t know, Cydia 1.120 has a bunch of enhancements and bug fixes that make its work more stable. Apart from the inclusion of Cydia 1.1.20, looks like there are no other new features. This means that if you have already updated to this version of Cydia, you can simply ignore Taig 2.3.1 beta.

iPhone 6 Plus Explodes While Being Charged



An iPhone 6 Plus unit suddenly exploded while being charged, Apple Daily reporters claim. The incident took place in Tai Wai, Hong Kong. Fortunately, the victim, who is a woman surnamed Tsang wasn’t injured.

According to what the reporters write, the iPhone 6 Plus with 128Gb of storage was connected to an electric outlet and placed near victim’s bed at about 1 a.m. Next morning, at 8 a.m., the woman was awakened by a loud bang and smoke coming out of her handset. As can be seen on the image below, the protective case of the iPhone is molten and the front panel is badly damaged by the heat.

Pegatron to Hire 40.000 Workers to Assemble Next-Gen iPhone



According to the latest report from people familiar with the matter, Apple supplier Pegatron has recently begun hiring workers for the assembly of the next-generation iPhone. As noted by DigiTimes reporters, the supplier plans to hire as many as 40.000 employees. They will be engaged in the production of the upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, which are expected to be released this September. The work on the smartphones has already begun as several iPhone parts including the logic board with a number of updated chips and the casing of the would-be handset have appeared on the Internet not long ago.

According to the latest data shared by a research firm called comScore, Apple remains the top smartphone manufacturer in the United States of America. Apple’s market share is currently equal to 43.5%. Samsung is ranked second with the market share of 28.7% and LG is the third with 8.2%.

According to something rumored to be a leaked internal document, the guys from Cupertino are indeed planning to equip their upcoming handset with a brand new photo sensor capable of recording 4K videos. Taig Releases Updated Tool for Jailbreak with Several Fixes



Taig team has recently released a new version of its jailbreak tool for iOS 8.4. This version contains a fix for a bug that made it easy for applications to become root. Apart from that, the update contains Cydia 1.1.19. Both improvements are aimed at making the Taig utility more stable and efficient. Jony Ive Officially Becomes Apple’s Chief Design Officer



Jony Ive has finally become Apple’s Chief Design Officer. His profile on Apple’s official website has been updated recently to reflect his new post. Apart from Ive, two other company executives have been promoted. These are Alan Dye who is now Apple’s Vice President of User Interface Design and Richard Howarth, the chief of Industrial Design department. As you might have guessed, Dye will be responsible for the software and its look and Howarth will focus on the hardware.

Some Apple Services May Be Temporarily Unreachable



According to Apple, some services may be currently unavailable for some users. These services include iMessage, iWork for iCloud, iCloud Drive, My Photo Stream, Backup & Restore, iPhoto Journals, Mail Drop and iMovie Theater. Problems begun to occur this morning, however, only a small percentage of users may face troubles in using the aforementioned services. If you one of these users, the only solution is to wait. The guys from Cupertino are aware of the issue and will fix the problem as soon as possible.
