Hackers Attacked And Infected A Number Of Apple Employees’ Macs

Apple Releases iOS 6.1.2



Apple has released iOS 6.1.2 to fix a bug with Microsoft Exchange Calendar.

Fixes an Exchange calendar bug that could result in increased network activity and reduced battery life.

Today’s update also fixes the passcode bug that was found last week. There is no information, whether this firmware is jailbreakable.

You can update via OTA or in iTunes. Jailbreakers have to perform restore to upgrade to iOS 6.1.2.

Apple Seeking Managers To Lead Apple TV Feature Development



A new job posting from Apple looking for Apple TV experienced software engineer may suggests the company is indeed preparing to increase in presence in the living room. The job listing has revealed that Apple is seeking someone to lead the engineering team working on new features for the next Apple TV. It's interesting that earlier Apple referred to the Apple TV project as a hobby, but now the job posting describes it as a “high priority project.”

Shares Of TV Set Maker Loewe Increased As Apple Acquisition Rumors Surfaced



According to Reuters, today shares of German television set manufacturer Loewe increased by 43% as rumors of an acquisition by Apple surfaced. A trader said that Apple is supposedly looking to pay 4 euros a share for Loewe, but Loewe’s spokesman claimed the company was not aware of any offer from Apple.

Apple Preparing For Event Next Month To Introduce Developer Tools For TV?



Citing "channel checks", аnalyst Peter Misek from Jeffries today said in a research note that Apple seems to be preparing to introduce Developer Tools for TV at a special event next month. Evasi0n 1.3 Released With Support for Jailbreaking iOS 6.1.1



The Evad3rs have released Evasi0n 1.3, an update to the jailbreak utility that brings support for the new iOS 6.1.1 iPhone 4S firmware. Additionally, the team notes that OS X 10.5 should be fully supported now and the linux glibc requirement has been lowered to 2.3.

Apple Has Released iOS 6.1.1 for the iPhone 4S Only



Apple today released iOS 6.1.1 for iPhone 4S users only. This follows reports that a bug in the iOS 6.1 firmware was affecting 3G performance for numerous customers.

According to the release notes, "This update fixes an issue that could impact cellular performance and reliability for iPhone 4S."

Analyst Expects Unsubsidized iPhone Mini Will Cost From $250 to $300



Today analyst Brian White from Topeka Capital issued a note to clients (via Forbes) providing his expectations for much-rumored cheaper iPhone. According to White, Apple can release the low-cost iPhone as early as June and the device will be called “iPhone Air” or “iPhone mini”. He also expects that the contract-free model will cost from $250 to $300, which would allow the device to compete with high-end smartphones priced below $320 from China-based Xiaomi. He also noted:
