iPhone 4 to Record 1280x720 HD Video?
Latest information from several resources reveals that the third beta of iPhone OS 4 has an ability to capture video at 1280x720 resolution instead of the standard 640x480. That is confirmed with following preset values that were found in new API improvements:
AVCaptureSessionPreset640x480
AVCaptureSessionPreset1280x720
It was long rumored that iPhone 4 will have 5MP camera, LED flash, another front-facing camera for making video conferences. IF the HD resolution will be supported indeed, iPhone's old alias "iPhone HD" will be finally confirmed.
World of Warcraft Was Launched on the iPad
The picture above reveals that World of Warcraft was launched on the iPad. We don't know does it work correctly because there is no video yet, but there is information that the game was launched via Gaikai.
Gaikai is a service that allows you to play games in a browser, directly from the cloud. The scheme is pretty simple - the service runs and hosts the games and then streams it to the user using Silverlight, Java or Flash. As you know, iPad doesn't support Flash but somehow WoW works through Gaikai.
Gaikai and its competitors (OnLive and OTOY) are still in beta, but when it'll reach maturity there is a big chance to successfully use it for playing graphically intensive games on different devices including iPad.
Adobe Plans To Give Android Phones To Its Employees
As you remember, this Thursday Steve Jobs wrote a letter about his thoughts on Flash. In responce to such a public attack Adobe decided to give its employees mobile phones running on Android OS which support Flash.
CNet reports it has information from three sources close to Adobe that the company is going to give Android phones, but the exact model is not specified yet (though HTC phones and Google Nexus One were mentioned). There is also no information about whether Adobe is going to give devices to all 8,600 employees or just to developers.
Flash 10.1 will be presented in May at Google's I/O conference. Every its attendee will receive Motorola Droid or Nexus One from Google.

5MP camera in iPhone 4G will be from LG Innotek
According to the report revealed by Chosun resource 5MP camera sensors for iPhone 4G will be supplied by LG Innotek.
"The electronics component maker began producing the sophisticated cameras at its plant in Gumi this month and will mass produce them starting in the second half of this year."
So the rumors about OmniVision going to supply cameras for a new generation of iPhones that appeared in December 2009 are incorrect.
iPhone 4G is expected to have not only 5.0-megapixels capera, but also a camera flash (probably based on Philips' LUXEON LED techonogy). The functions for flash are already implemented in iPhone OS 4.0.
Skyfire Browser Will Bring Flash To iPhone
Some time ago Apple approved Opera Mini and now everybody can download it for free. Skyfire team understood it as a reason to work harder so now they look forward to bring their own mobile browser to iPhone and iPod Touch. Skyfire CEO Jeff Glueck congratulated the Opera in his company's blog and told about upcoming version for 'iDevices'.
The idea of their app is almost the same as for the Opera - the browser also renders web content though the remote servers of the company and then presents it on a mobile devices. But with Skyfire users can view Silverlight, Flash and Quicktime content without needing any of the plugins or powerful processor.
The video above shows how the Skyfire browser works on Symbian devices.
The iPhone 4G prototype found recently is real (photos)
The story about iPhone 4G get's even more complicated. Recently the future iPhone 4G photos were shown just everywhere. After several hours these photos were claimed fake, because the device looked just like a Japanese iPhone clone. Today Gizmodo posted an article with many photos and videos, proving this is actually the next iPhone prototype. This might even be the real final version of iPhone 4G. And of course this might still be fake, a good one though. We don't know yet.
So what's new in the next iPhone 4G:
- Front-facing video chat camera.
- Improved regular back-camera (the lens is quite noticeably larger than the iPhone 3GS).
- Camera flash.
- Micro-SIM instead of standard SIM (like the iPad).
- Improved display. It's unclear if it's the 960x640 display thrown around before—it certainly looks like it, with the "Connect to iTunes" screen displaying much higher resolution than on a 3GS.
- What looks to be a secondary mic for noise cancellation, at the top, next to the headphone jack.
- Split buttons for volume.
- Power, mute, and volume buttons are all metallic.
- iPhone OS 4.0.
- Dimensions: 4.50 х 2.31 х 0.37 inches.
- Weight: 140 g.
- Battery: 5.25 WHr 3.7V (iPhone 3GS - 4.51 WHr 3.7V).

iPad Runs Windows 95
Kamagames.com posted another interesting video. Now they've tried to launch Windows 95 on iPad using BOCHS emulator. It looks pretty cool though the OS is very slow. That might be the reason why the Kamagames devs didn't try to install WinME or at least Windows 98.
The main idea of this experiment is that though Windows 95 is very old OS it actually supports mutitasking! Moreover, maybe it is a first step to even bring Flash to the iPad.
Microsoft's Kin Phone Is Unveiled
Microsoft has finally revealed its two new mobile devices named Kin One and Kin Two. They work on Windows Phone 7 OS and have a capacitive display with multi-touch support, custom browser (based on Zune version and has no Flash and Silverlight) and no third-party apps support.
Kin One that was earlier known as "Turtle" is a square slider with a QVGA display, 5 MP camera , LED flash, 4GB storage drive and QWERTY keyboard. Kin Two, more known as "Pure", differs by its landscape form factor, HVGA display, 8 MP camera and 8GB storage. But the experience in both of the products is almost the same. Kin One and Kin Two have 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
