AT&T servers had been hacked
A group of hackers found a security flaw on the web servers of AT&T and after obtaining users’ 3G iPad SIM addresses (also known as ICC ID) from the web made an automated script attack to receive their email addresses.
According to Gawker report, now hacked users may "be vulnerable to spam marketing and malicious hacking". SIM addresses are easy enough to obtain, because many people have already posted their ICC ID numbers in photos published on Flickr for instance. But most of them have their e-mails published too, so it is likely that they have already received such spam.

Apple had recently announced that the iPad will be shipped to Australia, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Japan, Switzerland and the United Kingdom on Friday, May 28. Austria, Belgium, Ireland, Hong Kong, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Mexico, Singapore and New Zealand will receive iPads in July. Precise date will be announced by Apple later.

iPad Was Fried in Microwave
Okay, maybe iPad is not good as a skateboard, but maybe there will be more sense if it will be zapped in microwave?
Kenny Irwin, also known as dOvetastic, fries everything from gas masks to 1960s telephones in a professional grade microwave. Why? He thinks it's an art.
Recently he bought an iPad 3G 64 GB to make another test. The result may be seen on the 10-minute video above, was considered by YouTube as "may contain content inappropriate for some users".
How many more tests will be made to iPad to understand it's a hi-tech device and not a piece of metal alloy?
1 Million iPads Had Been Sold In a Month
Today Steve Jobs revealed that last Friday Apple's iPad reached one million sales:
"One million iPads in 28 days -- that's less than half of the 74 days it took to achieve this milestone with iPhone. Demand continues to exceed supply and we're working hard to get this magical product into the hands of even more customers."
The company also revealed next facts:
- 12 million apps for iPad were downloaded from the App Store already;
- 1,5 million e-books were downloaded from the iBookStore;
- 5,000 applications were created specifically for the iPad (the number of apps for iPod touch and iPhone is more than 200,000)
There were no information revealed about a breakdown of 3G vs. Wi-Fi-only sales, but one analyst told that on Sunday 49 of 50 retail stores were sold out of both models.
Piper Jaffray's analyst Gene Munster predicts that the Wi-Fi iPad will be more popular and will take 60% of sales while iPad 3G-capable model will carry only 40% of overall sales. He also believes that Apple has already more than 1 million iPads, which proved to be true.
iFixit Has Disassembled an iPad 3G
As you already know iPad 3G became available this Friday. Well iFixIt already obtained it and
iPad 3G has a black plastic window for better antenna reception. It also changes the way to open the device - you'll need to start separating from the right side and then go to the top and bottom of it.
iPad 3G has five antennas:
- One antenna is in the plastic window to handle the cell reception.
- Another antenna is attached to the LCD frame with the same purpose.
- GPS antenna is also situated in the plastic window.
- Wi-fi antenna is in the Apple logo.
- Bluetooth antenna is situated on the left of the dock connector.
To make 3G connections iPad uses the same baseband processor as in iPhone 3GS, and presumably it's the Infineon 337S3754 PMB 8878 X-Gold IC. For GPS connections device has a Broadcom BCM4750UBG Single-Chip AGPS Solution.
More photos of separated iPad 3G are posted below.

iPad 3G will be shipped on May 7
Apple online store has been updated and now it contains information about the shipping date of iPad 3G to U.S. stores - it is May 7. Three days later Apple will start taking international pre-orders for the device.
Apple also reported it has already sold 500,000 iPads since April 3, and the international sales will start in the end of May.
It is interesting that some people who have already pre-ordered 3G versions of iPad say their order statutes are still indicating the delivery will be later this April.
Apple sells 500,000 iPads and delays international orders
Apple today released the
Although we have delivered more than 500,000 iPads during its first week, demand is far higher than we predicted and will likely continue to exceed our supply over the next several weeks as more people see and touch an iPad™. We have also taken a large number of pre-orders for iPad 3G models for delivery by the end of April.
Faced with this surprisingly strong US demand, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the international launch of iPad by one month, until the end of May. We will announce international pricing and begin taking online pre-orders on Monday, May 10. We know that many international customers waiting to buy an iPad will be disappointed by this news, but we hope they will be pleased to learn the reason—the iPad is a runaway success in the US thus far.
iPad's are unofficially avaliable in many different countries. However the prices are very-very high (double and even triple of US ones).
iPad Wi-Fi vs iPad 3G: Visual Differences
The iPad 3G version wasn't pictured at the presentation of the device, but it is present in
The only one obvious difference with WiFi edition is a black strip of plastic on the back of the device. It extends to the top and is also visible from the front of the iPad. This patch is necessary for 3G signals to reach the internal antennas.
Such detail leads us to a question - is it possible, that iPad 3G will have better WiFi access parameters than the regular iPad? As it is known that iPod Touch also has a plastic patch that helps WiFi signal to reach the internal antenna.
