Here is an interesting video by Sam Beckett, that summarizes the new features expected for the iPhone 5 which will likely be unveiled by Apple tomorrow.

A new video from MSNBC claims President Barack Obama had some difficulty using the iPhone to place a call.

A reporter on the scene said President Obama appeared to be befuddled by an iPhone and couldn't place a call at first. In his own defense, Obama reminded everyone he was a Blackberry owner. NBC's Brian Williams reports.

New iPhone 5, New iPad & iPad Mini come together in this iPhone 5 concept must see video. This CG iPhone 5 has a longer iPhone design, iPhone 5 new larger home screen, iOS 6, fingerprint scan, iPhone's new notification center with siri updates and stretchable or rubberband electronics.

CiccareseDesign has created a new set of renderings and even a 3D model of the 7.85-inch "iPad mini" setting up for an October debut. The design is based on the numerous rumors, part leaks, and work by case manufacturers who are trying to determine what the device will look like in order to have their products ready for sale as soon as possible. As far as you know, the 7.85-inch iPad offers 66% of the surface area of the current 9.7-inch iPad and almost 40% more surface area than competing 7-inch tablets.

Vietnamese website Tinhte.vn posted the video, showing what is allegedly a totally redesigned pair of Apple in-ear headphones. The  site also notes that the product will likely be introduced either alongside the sixth-generation iPhone. The site claims that the new headphones are manufactured in Vietnam in a Foxconn plant as cable labeling reads "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in Vietnam." The in-ear unit is somewhat a departure from current earphone models from Apple, featuring a truncated teardrop shape that is supposedly more comfortable than the gratis set supplied with the iPhone.

GSM Israel posted a video of a physical mock-up of the iPhone 5. The device in the video appears fairly similar to the dozens of earlier leaked enclosures said to represent the new iPhone. GSM Israel says it stumbled upon the device at the booth of a third party accessory maker during its normal tour of the IFA show floor in Berlin on Saturday. The physical mockup was created by a case manufacturer to test early case designs on the upcoming iPhone.

SmartPhoneMedic has posted a video comparing leaked black and white 'iPhone 5' glass panels to the iPhone 4S.

As you can see, the iPhone 5 front glass panel is slightly taller than the current iPhone 4/4S. However, it still remains the same width. Compared to the Samsung Galaxy S III, the iPhone 5 will have a smaller display area in both width and height. We're not sure why Apple decided to only make it taller and not wider, but I'm sure Mr. Cook will explain it at the upcoming Apple Event. The other major component is the 8-pin dock connector. It does look like Apple has moved away from their traditional 30-pin dock connector to a new, and much smaller, 8-pin dock connector. It is still unknown if they will provide some type of adapter for those out there with 30-pin dock connector accessories. It will be very interesting to see how Apple handles this issue.

Yesterday Apple released a new television advertisement for the new iPad with the Retina display. The ad is titled “All on iPad,” made in the same style as the previous ad “Do It All” posted in June. The new advertisement also focuses on the high-resolution Retina display, with a number of different apps sharing the spotlight.

iPhone repair parts company Etrade Supply has published a comparison of the front panels of purported next-generation iPhone and iPhone 4S. In line with many other leaked photos and videos, the front panel for iPhone 5 shows that the device will include a taller display and its FaceTime camera will be placed above the earpiece.

Following the publication of several high-resolution photos of claimed enclosure and several internal components for the upcoming iPhone 5, Japanese blog Macotakara published a hands-on video of these parts. The video provides a glimpse of how the future iPhone would look in a hand.

PowerNap is one of the new function included in OS X Mountain Lion. This feature was introduced at this year’s WWDC and allows your Mac update software, receive email and perform other tasks even when the system is in sleeping mode.

Apple lists all capabilities of the new feature on this support page. Capabilities include Reminder and Contact changes, syncing Calendar, receiving new Mail, Mac App Store updates, Time Capsule backup and more.

Apple released a new TV ad featuring the iPhone 4S and Siri with Martin Scorsese as a main character, who uses Apple’s revolutionary voice assistant to reschedule appointments, find where a friend is, and see how traffic is in Manhattan. The ad is the fourth in Apple's series of celebrity television ads featuring celebrities using the technology.

According to 9to5Mac, a Russian hacker has published a relatively simple method that allows users to obtain in-app purchases from many iOS apps for free.

The method, which doesn’t require a jailbreak, involves installation of two certificates on the user’s iOS device and changing DNS entry in wi-fi settings. Then users can perform purchases of in-app content as usual.
