iPad 2 May Come on April 2nd or 9th
Today German website MacNotes has suddenly revealed new information on the next-gen iPad. It is said in its report that iPad 2 will be presumably launched in the first week of April, or, to be precise, on the 2nd or 9th or April, and both of these days are Saturdays. As you may remember, first-gen iPad appeared in stores on April 3, which was also a Saturday.

iPhone 4 Coming to Verizon on Feb. 10
Today Apple has finally announced that the iPhone 4 will come to Verizon on Feb. 10 with a new two year customer agreement at a price of 199$ for 16GB version and $299 in case you'd like to have 32Gb model.
The phone may be preordered starting from Feb. 3, and a week later it will appear both in Verizon and Apple stores. That was reported at Tuesday's press conference in New York City, where Verizon COO Lowell McAdam was happy to declare the beginning of collaboration with Apple:

Apple Prepping for iWork '11 Mac App Store Launch
Apple may refresh an iWork pretty soon. Some Apple Store Employees report that “there is no iWork on the shelves, no iWork in stock and none on the way”. A quick check to Amazon shows none in stock there. Family packs are only available. Meanwhile, Apple's online store auto-completes "iWork 11" as a possibility when searching for "iWork". Perhaps, Apple is planning on launching iWork '11 alongside the Mac App Store. Apple promised to launch the Mac App Store on January 6th, 2011.
Apple Confirms the White iPhone 4 is Coming in Spring 2011
Some new promo materials appeared in Apple Stores around the United State. They have an interesting signage which claims that the white iPhone 4 will be available Spring 2011. That confirms an earlier report. Though, we may hear rumors about the fifth-generation iPhone handset, which also is expected to be released spring 2011. Steve Jobs will most likely announce the device at WWDC ’11. Many believe that Apple sooner will simply release a modified version of the iPhone 4 or a white version of its fifth-generation handset than the white iPhone 4.
Florida man accuses Apple store of age discrimination
Michael Katz, the 60 years old Florida man, believes that he was subjects of discrimination. He was denied to be promoted when he worked at an Apple’s retail store because of his age. Now he is seeking back pay and damages in excess of $15,000 from the Cupertino, California, company. He began working in Apple in 2006 when he was 60. Although he expressed his desire to be promoted and there were available positions, each time he was denied. His younger colleagues were selected. They were at least 15 years younger than him. As lawsuit claims, Katz was not given any explanation for his repeated denial of promotion opportunities.
Apple Stores Sold 8.8 iPads/hour on Black Friday
Piper Jaffray reports that iPads were walking out of the stores at a rate — 8.8 units per hour during the Black Friday. That translates into 25,000 iPads sold nationwide. There are no other Black Friday iPad sales to compare with. The iPad is expanding Apple’s market and that is significant, even though the per-hour number cited looks small by comparison to those when the iPad debuted in April. Macs were leaving the stores at 8.2 units per hour per store, down from 8.3 last year and 13 two years ago.
Apple Removes Mention of White iPhone 4 From Online Store
Yesterday we told you that the rumored white iPhone 4 became available for reservation via Apple Store application. But today Apple has removed mention of the model from its ordering page. Apple continues to use a white iPhone 4, however, in promotional images for the company's bumpers. The white model is also still shown in Apple's iPhone 4 image gallery.
Is White iPhone 4 available for reserving via Apple Store app?
Recently Apple updated its own Apple Store application for the very first time. And you may find a little surprise in version 1.1. If you look at the “Reserve Products” screen, you may notice that the much delayed white iPhone 4 is now available for reserving. Only for reserving! So, who knows, may be it is just some sort of glitch in the system, or evidence that sooner or later the white iPhone will be available for purchase.
Apple Stores to use new Concierge app for customer check-ins
Soon every Apple retail stores will have its own Concierge. That means that every Apple store will launch a new wireless check-in service. Such service will allow employees to manage a queue of customers via a custom iOS app called Concierge.
This Saturday Apple Will Open Its Largest US Store
Today Apple announced that on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. a new Apple Retail Store, which is situated in Saint Louis, Missouri, will be opened. It is known that the store with 55-foot wide storefront and 6,000 square-feet of space is "completely redesigned" and features new 592 square-feet lounge area. It will also offer Wi-Fi for free and customers will have an ability to check in to Genius bar appointments. Thus, the St. Louis Galleria Apple Store will become the biggest mall-based Apple Store in the USA.
In the newsletter Apple also informed that the first thousand of visitors will receive Apple T-shirts for free.

Apple Store Robbed, 12 iPhones Stolen!
It became known that this morning at 4:20 a.m. one of the Apple’s stores situated in San Diego, California, was robbed. The thieves were dressed in jeans and hoodies. They did it at night and stole a dozen of iPhones.
According to 10News, two guys were involved in the burglary. They robbed the store, which is located in a shopping center of San Diego. According to preliminary estimates, they stole 12 iPhone 4s and 3GS’, which were displayed there.
They smashed the glass door into small pieces, as you can see in the photo.
The investigation has already started, but there are no reports yet about who was involved in the robbery. It is strange that the guys have not taken any other device. Were they looking just for the iPhone is 4 and 3GS?
