In March the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) accused Apple of falsely advertising its LTE-capable iPad in the country, filling its complaint against the company. Apple was advertising the device as 4G even though it was not compatible with LTE networks in Australia. Last month, Apple acquiesced to complaints and began rebranding its "iPad Wi-Fi + 4G" as the "iPad W-Fi + Cellular."
Ahead of the annual conferences of Apple and Google, analytics firm Flurry compared developer support for Android and iOS by analyzing data collected from over 70,000 companies and 185,000 mobile apps. Its findings show that for every 10 apps that are built by developers, seven are created for iOS (the graph bar above). The company also reports that Google and Apple have a joint market cap of nearly $750 billion.
Every year thousands of Apple developers flock to San Francisco to attend Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference to be educated in all things Apple. Over the past decade the conference has undergone some big changes as Apple has introduced products like the iPhone, Mac Pro, Intel Processors, Mac OS X operating systems, and much more. An event that used to be lightly attended has now become the most popular developers conference in the world and sold out within 2 hours this years.
Here’s a look at the banner images of WWDC over the past 10 years.

Apple announced OS X 10. 2 (Jaguar), QuickTime 6, and held a mock funeral for OS 9 to tell developers there would be no more Mac OS 9 development.

Sn0wbreeze can be used to create a custom firmware with jailbreak and preserve iPhone modem (baseband) version for unlock.
Sn0wbreeze 2.9.6 supports iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G and Apple TV 2G. It does not work with A5 devices, like iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPhone 4S.
Using this tutorial you will be able to untether jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 (5.0 9B206f and 5.0.2 9B830) running on Apple TV 2G. This tutorial uses Seas0nPass for Mac OS X or Windows.

You’ve obviously heard that Apple is going to refresh its Maps application in the forthcoming iOS6 and move away from Google Maps that Apple has used since the launch of the iPhone in 2007, replacing it by the company’s own service.
The Wall Street Journal chronicles the last five years that have saw Google and Apple going from best of corporate friends to sworn enemies spending a great deal of time disparaging each other in courts. The latest confrontation seems to be closely connected with Maps.
9to5Mac reports that one of the features in forthcoming iOS 6 is Siri version for the iPad. Currently Apple’s voice assistant is supported only by the iPhone 4S. As for the new iPad, the device has dictation with voice recognition, but not seeing the inclusion of full Siri support at its launch earlier this year.
Analyst Brian White with Topeka Capital Markets met this week with his contacts in the supply chain who let him know that Apple is gearing up for what is expected to be an "exciting" September, where the company could launch both its next-generation iPhone, as well as smaller iPad.
White suggests that Apple is likely to launch its next-generation smartphone in September, rather than October. As far as you remember, the iPhone 4S was introduced in October, which was a few months later than the iPhone launch window that Apple had utilized in prior years.

iFixit in conjunction with chip analysts ChipWorks tore down Samsung's new Galaxy S III smartphone, revealing that the device is sourcing a newer version of the same Sony-made camera used in the iPhone 4S.
ChipWorks confirmed on Friday that the backside-illuminated sensor found in Samsung's new Galaxy S III handset is being sourced from Sony and may be a newer version of the component used in Apple's iPhone 4S. While iFixit initially claimed that the sensor is "basically the same unit" used in the iPhone 4S, further examination of the chip revealed that it could be a slightly refreshed product. It seems that the camera's sensor is where the similarities between the two devices end, however, as Samsung uses its own memory and optics to complete the unit.
Piper Jaffray’s analyst Gene Munster suggests that Apple's full-fledged television set with screen sizes between 42 inches and 55 inches will be retailing between $1,500 and $2,000. Such product will be unveiled later this year and will hit the market about six months after it is announced and will be sold in the amount of approximately 110 million units, he believes.
9to5Mac’s source, who has access to the next-generation iPhone prototype, as well as data found out in a build of iOS 6 could report some more details about Apple’s next smartphone.
- Details in the iOS 6 beta indicate that the next-generation iPhone will run an application processor identified as S5L8950X that is still internally being referred to as part of the A5 family. That processor initially showed up in iOS 5.1 betas alongside the S5L8945X that arrived in the form of the A5X in the current iPad.
