AT&T included iPhone In Its Insurance Policy
AT&T included Apple’s iPhone (all models) to their insurance program for mobile devices. Starting on July 17 customers can stay calm paying just five dollars per month. With this coverage not only your iPhone but also your other wireless investments on the AT&T network will be protected from loss, theft, electrical failure and accidental damage that standard Apple’s warranty doesn’t cover.
If your handset is stolen, damaged or lost, you will have the right to replace you handset with the deductible ranging from $50 to $125 per claim providing that you file no more than two claims for twelve consecutive months. Here is a citation from AT&T’s :
Effective July 17, 2011, the Apple iPhone (all models) will be eligible for coverage with the AT&T Mobile Insurance program (formerly Wireless Phone Insurance). Enrollment restrictions apply. Customers can only enroll within 30 days of a new activation or upgrade, prior activations or upgrades outside of 30 days are not eligible.
Also customers can consider an option of replacing AT&T’s insurance with Apple’s insurance plan as it is known that Apple replaces accidentally broken and out-of-warranty iPhones for a fixed $199 repair fee, but the warranty doesn’t cover theft or loss. Also you should know that there are some cases that neither company covers, for example, liquid damage.

Final Cut Pro X Refunds
The Next Web reports that Apple has started to issue refunds to App Store customers for Final Cut Pro X, Motion, or Compressor after a wave of criticism from professionals due to absent of many “pro” functionalities of the previous version. One of the customers posted the e-mail demonstrating how Apple is dealing with these problems:

Apple has released iOS 5.0 beta 2 today. As usual it is for developers only, and for those who have activated UUID.
New firmware is available for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 1, iPad 2 and Apple TV.
The most interesting new features one can find are: wireless syncing (works at least with iTunes 10.5 beta 2 on Mac OS 10.6.8 or Lion), new UI for notifications and silver iCloud logo in Setting. Apple also added functionality that let's you wirelessly restore your iDevice from an iCloud backup.
Court Denies Samsung Request To See iPhone 5 and iPad 3
Let us remind you some facts about the legal battle between Apple and Samsung. Samsung filed the countersuit in response to the Apple’s suit, where demanded Apple hand over the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 or their newest prototypes to investigate them and to avoid misunderstanding in future. Though, Judge denied Samsung’s request, having explained that “Apple’s request for expedited discovery was far more justified and far less prejudicial”. Patent Dispute Between Apple And Nokia Is Resolved, Apple Will Pay For Licenses
Nokia announced that it had entered into agreement with Apple, and now the prolonged legal argument between two corporations is coming to an end with two parties withdrawing their complaints to the International Trade Commission.
A press release that announced the signed patent license agreement was issued by Nokia early Tuesday. Agreement stipulates that Apple have to make a one-time payment to Nokia as well as ongoing royalties. But exact details of the agreement are kept in secret. The statement also reads that Nokia has put about 43 billion EUR into research and development in the course of last 20 years, creating a patent portfolio that consists of 10,000 patent families.

'Wi-Fi Sync' App Developer Accuses Apple in Stealing His Idea
Last year we told about Greg Hughes, who created the "Wi-Fi Sync" app, which allows to synchronize your iOS-device with iTunes wirelessly. After Apple's rejection the developer sent it to the Cydia Store instead. Since then the app was sold over 50,000 times. iPhone 4S may get hybrid GSM-CDMA support
New report by MacOtakara claims that Apple may release the "iPhone 4S" that will sport hybrid GSM-CDMA functionality and a special SIM card slot for countries other than United States.
Besides that, the new smartphone will supposedly have a smaller hole for FaceTime camera and a "more narrow front receiver slit". It will also get a 5 GHz antenna for 802.11n wireless networking support.
