The PanguTeam on Saturday released an important update on the status of its jailbreak utility for iOS 8 - 8.1. As you probably know, earlier this week, the hackers released a new version of untethered jailbreak for iOS 8 - 8.1. It should be noted, however, that this version turned out to be very unstable and was available only for Windows users, that is why the PaunguTeam decided to pull the update back and make it available only for jailbreak developers.

Mobile Substrate has been updated to version 0.9.3043-1. According to Saurik the update; “fixes the issues some extensions (like WinterBoard) are having with the new dyld “shared cache” in iPhone OS 3.1.”. So, if you are on firmware 3.1, WinterBoard should work properly once you update to the new version of Mobile Substrate.
Avaliable in Cydia for jailbreaked iPhones and iPod Touches.
DevTeam updated ultrasn0w. They removed the daemon and used ideas of GeoHot's purplesn0w, but implemented these ideas in a better safer way. New ultrasn0w 0.9 uses 152 bytes of baseband RAM, which is 6900 timesless than purplesn0w. They also use mobile substrate to patch CommCenter, instead of patching the file itself.
Here is a list of features from DevTeam.
Works on both 3G and 3GS.
Works on hacktivated devices.
Works regardless of how you jailbroke your device.
Doesn’t patch any mach-o binary whatsoever. (Doesn’t require a separate patch as each new firmware comes out).
Doesn’t install any additional daemon
Has no race conditions, no popups about “Missing SIM”, no network issues
Is almost 7000 times smaller than its nearest competition
Saurik had finished the bundle of Cydia for QuickPwn, working on Firmware 3.0. This includes major packages and extensions, like Mobile Substrate. Cydia for 3.0 will be ready before 3.0 firmware's release.
If you have jailbreaked iPhone your Skype app may crash. Here is what we know so far:
If Skype crashes when trying to input text: Disable both Clippy (Use SBSettings toggle) and any custom Winterboard sounds relating to the keyboard tick (tock.aiff).
If Skype crashes within 1 minute of having the app open: Update app called mobile substrate in Cydia. Uninstalling mobile substrate also fixes the problem, but you will lose features such as winterboard and sbsettings.
UPDATE: Many users report that Skype works fine with the latest version of Clippy (0.98-2) without the need to turn the latter off.
