EA launches Origin client for Mac
Digital distribution platform Origin for Mac from EA was launched today; this was first noted by AppleInsider. The Origin for the Mac was originally announced in August, 2011 and began to undergo alpha testing in late January.
Apple announced about 25 billion downloaded songs
Apple today announced that the iTunes Store reached a new level of downloadable songs which amounts to 25 billion. Interestingly, Apple has also awarded the user who downloaded 25 billionth song with € 10,000 iTunes gift card, although the company did not carry out promotions for the competition, as it was for the previous milestones.
Apple has released new iOS 6.1 with expanded LTE connectivity
After iOS 6.1 Beta 5 for developer’s release, Apple has just added iOS 6.1 for public. This update includes support for new LTE connectivity and purchasing Siri -based tickets to the cinema through Fandango, much as individual downloads of songs in iTunes Match and a new button ' reset ' to track advertising.

Amazon optimizes its MP3 store to attract customers using iOS devices.
Today, Amazon announced about optimization of the music store for Safari app on iOS devices. This move is the company's desire to dominate the digital music market.
"Since the launch of the Amazon Cloud Player app for iPhone and iPod touch, a top request from customers has been the ability to buy music from Amazon right from their devices. For the first time ever, iOS users have a way do that – now they can access Amazon’s huge catalog of music, features like personalized recommendations, deals like albums for $5, songs for $0.69, and they can buy their music once and use it everywhere,” said Steve Boom, Vice President of Amazon Music.

iTunes 11 could be launched on Thursday
The Wall Street Journal published a profile of Eddy Сue, Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Services and Internet Software which contains information about the release date of iTunes 11.
The newest version of iTunes, as expected, will be released in late October. However, the release of the software was delayed till late November. The Wall Street Journal believes that the programm will be released on Thursday. The reason for the delay was reportedly some technical problems.
Pentagon plans to purchase over 162K Apple iOS and Android devices
The United States Department of Defense plans to revise and expand its security infrastructure by replacing BlackBerry devices with iPhone and the iPad from Apple, as well as with some selected smartphones and tablets running Android OS. During yesterday’s special media event Apple unveiled a radically redesigned version of iTunes for Mac and PC featuring a "dramatically simpler" interface. President Obama Befuddled by the iPhone
A new video from MSNBC claims President Barack Obama had some difficulty using the iPhone to place a call.
A reporter on the scene said President Obama appeared to be befuddled by an iPhone and couldn't place a call at first. In his own defense, Obama reminded everyone he was a Blackberry owner. NBC's Brian Williams reports.
