Bloomberg reports that Apple is negotiating with HBO to integrate video streaming service to Apple TV. HBO Go is a streaming service that lets HBO subscribers watch HBO content on PCs, tablets, consoles and other platforms.
Apple Has Become The #1 Vendor Of Mobile Phones In U.S. For The First Time
According to a new research from Strategy Analytics, Apple outstripped Samsung for the first time ever to become the number one vendor of mobile phones in U.S. The report notes that Apple sold 17.7 million iPhones during the fourth quarter of 2012 compared to 16.8 million sold by Samsung and 4.7 million sold by LG holding the third place.
Apple TV Update Will Not Affect Product Features
An Apple spokesperson explained () that changes in Apple TV model revealed in FCC filings yesterday are strictly internal, and there will not be any new features. The Next Web also noted that the new Apple TV model will include Apple's A5X processor from the iPad 3 and upgraded Broadcom wireless chip. The external size of the new model will remain the same. Apple has released new iOS 6.1 with expanded LTE connectivity
After iOS 6.1 Beta 5 for developer’s release, Apple has just added iOS 6.1 for public. This update includes support for new LTE connectivity and purchasing Siri -based tickets to the cinema through Fandango, much as individual downloads of songs in iTunes Match and a new button ' reset ' to track advertising.
"This update contains improvements and bug fixes, including:
- LTE support for more carriers (complete list of supported carriers at www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/)
- Purchase movie, tickets through Fandango with Siri (USA only)
- iTunes Match subscribers can now download individual songs from iCloud
