Claimed SIM Tray for Next-Generation iPhone 5
New photos of the next-generation iPhone 5 SIM tray have surface online, claiming Apple’s plans to introduce a more compact "nano-SIM" standard alongside this year's iPhone launch. The photos of the empty SIM tray, published over at Nowhereelse.fr, reveal a design that will command roughly 40 percent less internal space when compared to existing micro-SIM cards. Sized roughly a third smaller than existing MicroSIM cards found inside current iPads and iPhones, the so-called nano-SIM design was reportedly modified back in May to address objections on the part of rival handset maker Nokia.

Samsung’s pre-iPhone designs such as design of F700 smartphone have been known for a long time but Judge Lucy Koh did not allow Samsung to use that information as an evidence in the trial with Apple. Being displeased with the decision, Samsung sent the images that were barred by the court to and other publications saying:

iPhone 5 Production Underway for an Expected Fall Launch
Mac blog MacOtakara reported on Saturday that their sources from Chinese claimed Apple had started production of the next-generation iPhone. The rumored smartphone will reportedly feature design changes, including the addition of glass to the unit's "uni-body" backplate. Unlike the iPhone 4 and 4S which boast a "glass sandwich" design with tough Gorilla Glass front and back coverings, the upcoming handset will reportedly have a backplate only "partially covered" by the tough material. Nielsen, during the second quarter of 2012 smartphone use continued to increase in the U.S. where 54.9 mobile subscribers use smartphones as of June of this year. Among the acquirers who bought their smartphone in the last three months 36 percent said they chose an iPhone and 54 percent bought an Android smartphone.
Chinese resellers already taking $1100 pre-orders for iPhone 5
The next-generation iPhone 5 is not released yet, but the demand is already high. The handset is expected to be one of the line’s biggest updates since it was introduced, 5 years ago.
According to a new report some Chinese resellers are taking advantage of the hype, by taking pre-orders for the phone.
Reuters reports:
“Apple Inc’s (AAPL.O) next-generation iPhone has not even been released yet, but opportunistic sellers on China’s largest e-commerce platform, Taobao, are already accepting pre-orders, complete with mock-up pictures and purported technical specifications.”

Apple's next iPhone to feature quad-core processor
This week DigiTimes’s industry sources from the Far East provided more information about the next-generation iPhone’ processor. As reported, the new iPhone would feature a quad-core ARM processor based on Samsung's Exynos 4 architecture. The sources did not presented any further details.
Last year’s iPhone 4S feature a custom dual-core processor clocked at 800 megahertz, dubbed by Apple the “A5”. The chip was first introduced in the iPad 2. This year’s iPad couldn’t boast of the updated processor model, dubbed the "A5X," but it is sooner a slightly revised version of the A5.
Amazon Is Working On Its Own Smartphone To Compete With Android And iOS
