2015 MacBook vs. 2016 MacBook: Real World Usage Test





As it was already mentioned on our website, back in April Apple released an updated 12-inch MacBook with improved processor, SSD, battery and a new Rose Gold color option. Nearly a month after the release, AppleInsider reporters have decided to test the 2015 and 2016 models side by side and find out whether the new laptop is worth upgrading to for 2015 MacBook owners. The results of the test were rather surprising.

iPhone 7 to Become Waterproof and Dustproof and Get Touch Sensitive Home Button



According to the latest rumors shared by reliable supply chain sources, the next-generation iPhone may become waterproof and dustproof and get a touch sensitive Home button instead of the physical one. The rumors come from Digitimes, a Taiwanese news website that has a rather mixed track record. Anyway, it goes in line with earlier reports suggesting Apple was planning to equip the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with a new Home button to make the device thinner and lighter.

Apple Hires Former Aston Martin and Tesla Chief Engineer



Apple has reportedly hired Chris Porritt, former Aston Martin Chief Engineer and Tesla Vice President of Vehicle Engineering. According to the latest reports from reliable tech news websites, the expert will focus on “special projects” that most likely include the development of the long-awaited and widely-rumored Apple car codenamed “Titan”. Porritt can possibly substitute Steve Zadesky who left Apple earlier this year and who was believed to be a lead of the car project.

iFixit Posts Complete iPhone SE Teardown [Images]



The iFixit team has posted its iPhone SE teardown, which confirmed most of the details about the device that surfaced yesterday after the Chipworks teardown of the same 4-inch handset. Apple’s updated 4-inch device is stuffed with iPhone 5s internals mixed up with some unique components developed specifically for this model.

Apple to Announce Financial Results in Q2 of Fiscal 2016 on Monday, April 25th



Apple will officially announce the financial results in the second quarter of fiscal 2016 on Monday, April 25th. The conference call will be held at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET. After the event, the company will post the conference call recording to its official website, so that anyone can get access to it.

FY 16 Second Quarter Results

Apple’s conference call to discuss second fiscal quarter results is scheduled for Monday, April 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. PT / 5:00 p.m. ET

Aside from the financial results in Q2 of fiscal 2016, Apple may also share the information about the number of iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac units sold over the last couple of months, so stay tuned.

Apple’s March 2016 Media Event Now Available on YouTube

Pangu Releases First Apple TV 4 Jailbreak



The Pangu team has released a jailbreak for the fourth-generation Apple TV. The first announcement about the work on a completely new tool was made a couple of weeks ago. A week ago or so, the hackers informed the community that the tool was undergoing final pre-release testing. Finally, on Wednesday the Pangu team made the Apple TV 4 jailbreak available for download.

Leaked Images Show Alleged iPhone 7 Battery



According to the images that were first spotted on the Chinese website called Digi.tech.qq.com, the widely-rumored iPhone 7 may get a new 7.04 watt-hours battery. Currently, the iPhone 6s is equipped with a 6.61 watt-hours and the older iPhone 6 - with a 7.01 watt-hours battery. Additional details about the components, just like the origin of the photos, remain unknown, so it’s rather unclear whether we should believe what we see or not.

A hacker group called Pangu has just released an untethered jailbreak of iOS 9.1. It’s available for both Windows and Mac users. As you know, iOS 9.1 was released in October, so it’s actually high time someone hacked this version of Apple’s mobile operating system.

Here’s How iPhone SE Display Assembly Looks Like [Images]



Something similar to the leaked iPhone SE display assembly has recently appeared on the Internet. The images showing the aforementioned part have been first spotted on a French website called Nowhereelse.fr, so we can be sure they are legitimate and trustworthy. Contrary to recent rumors, the new 4-inch iPhone appears not to support the 3D Touch technology.
