iPhone X Included in the Top 25 Best Inventions of 2017



According to the TIME magazine, iPhone X is one of the best inventions of 2017, the magazine included Apple flagship to the top 25 list. TIME placed iPhone X along with inventions like glasses that give sight to the blind or a spacecraft that will probe beyond the surface of Mars.

Some iPhone X Display Green Lines on the Screen



The recent issue has been reported by several iPhone X owners, the device’s screen shows green lines. The issue is reproducing on models of different color and with different storage options.

So far there were about 25 cases with green lines on the display. This has been reported by users on different resources, including Apple Support communities, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter and MacRumors forum. The number of defective devices is growing, but still not statistically significant.

iOS 11 is Now Installed on More Than a Half of iOS devices



According to the data on Apple’s App Store support page, iOS 11 is now installed on 52% of compatible devices. Apple shared the information about the official number of installations for the first time after the release of iOS 11.

iPhone X is the Most Breakable Ever — SquareTrade



Not surprisingly, the all-screen iPhone X is the easiest to break. SquareTrade, the company that provides the extended warranties for electronic devices, has conducted crash tests for iPhone X and confirmed this probably obvious fact. The reason is probably the absence of bezels and the glass back.

Face ID isn’t as Fast as Touch ID — Tom’s Guide



There are some restrictions in using both Face ID and Touch ID: while fingerprint scanner can mistake when your fingers are wet or you wear gloves, Face ID probably won’t work if you wear a ski mask. Tom’s Guide tested both authentication methods to define which one is faster.

Apple Adds the Possibility to Change Third-Party Apple ID Email Address to an Apple Address



Apple has made some changes in Apple ID policy and added a possibility that wasn’t available earlier. Now customers that had third-party emails as their Apple ID address can change it to Apple’s email addresses, like @icloud.com, @me.com, @mac.com.
