Apple’s representatives of environmental task group are visiting Indonesia to find out whether tin is really supplied from illegal mines.
Bangka Island, located in Indonesia, is the world center of tin production. Recently, rumors appeared of illegal and unregulated mines operating in the region. That is why Apple initiated a fact-finding visit to carry out a study of local mines so that the situation was under control.
Apple works with nearly 250 suppliers who use tin in producing components. It remains to be seen whether the tin is illegal or not. Meanwhile, Samsung admitted using illegally mined tin in its products.
Miselu company has launched a new product for iPad – a wireless music keyboard. It boasts a high-quality two-octave (24-key) music keyboard. It can also work as an iPad cover, and has a micro-USB slot and a sealed Li-ion battery for 5-6 hours of operation.
What’s more, the keyboard is also compatible with Windows and Linux software, just if they support MIDI over USB.
The keyboard is expandable, from 242 x 185.7 x 9.9 mm (the size of an iPad) to 242 x 201.3 x 28.5 mm. It makes the device much easier to use. Moreover, the keyboard springs with the help of anti-polarity magnets, which itself is an innovation.

Apple was reportedly awarded a patent for a "Programmable tactile touch screen displays and man-machine interfaces for improved vehicle instrumentation and telematics". It was granted on Tuesday by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and its number is 8,482,535.
DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim has issued a note predicting that the new iPad mini will not feature the Retina display many are expecting.
Apple is expected to refresh its iPad mini in the second half of the year. The new iPad mini will continue to use a 7.9-inch display with a 1024×768 resolution, but it will use the iOS 7 operating system and an A6 processor, in a slimmer design than the current generation. Another iPad mini is also planned for production but not until early 2014. That device is expected to feature a QXGA (2048×1536) resolution display and the iOS 7 operating system.

Apple has not yet released an iPad beta of its new operating system to developers, so it's unclear how the software was obtained.

Newly leaked information about iOS 7 reveals that in addition to a flat design, Apple is also going to be updating the text and graphics in the operating system with a 'skinny' look.

Almost every iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch user faces a problem of listening music at home. Some use headphones, others listed through embedded speakers, however everybody wants to connect their gadget to some loud high quality home stereo system.
There tons of dock stations for various players and smartphones including ones for iPhone and iPod. However dock stations allow users to plug in just a single set of devices due to connection port incompatibilities. Even Apple changed it's port when iPhone 5 was released with lightning port. There are adapters and converters on the market that might help, but the idea is clear - there have to be some technology that would allow us to use different devices from various manufactures including iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, etc. Here comes Bluetooth. It is not just supported by almost all modern smartphones, players, tablets and even notebooks, it also does not require users to physically connect their gadget to a stereo, because it is wireless technology.

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has been fairly accurate regarding Apple hardware releases, claims that Apple's smart watch will not be released until the end of 2014.
Apple may not have adequate resources to develop an iWatch version of iOS because it may require big changes to iPhone and iPad iOS this year. In addition, wearable device components aren’t mature. For these reasons, we think mass production of the iWatch is more likely to begin in 2H14, not 2H13 as the market speculates.

The report shows that iOS and Android continue to dominate the market with 92,3% of shipments during the quarter. iOS marked its largest 1Q shipment volume with 34.7 million units shipped. iOS’s market share decreased from 23% to 17,3% year over year, while Android increased its market share from 59.2% to 75%.
