'Exciting' Sept. could see Apple intro new iPhone, iPad 'mini'
Analyst Brian White with Topeka Capital Markets met this week with his contacts in the supply chain who let him know that Apple is gearing up for what is expected to be an "exciting" September, where the company could launch both its next-generation iPhone, as well as smaller iPad.
White suggests that Apple is likely to launch its next-generation smartphone in September, rather than October. As far as you remember, the iPhone 4S was introduced in October, which was a few months later than the iPhone launch window that Apple had utilized in prior years.

Apple Researching Stylus Concepts with Optical Tracking and Haptic Feedback
Back in 2007, then the first-generation iPhone was launched, Steve Jobs offered an idea of a stylus for the iPhone. And it seems that Apple is still researching his ideas for stylus-based input. Unwired View has recently posted Apple patent applications filed in late 2010, highlighting optical and haptic stylus concepts. However, there is no evidence that Apple is seriously looking at incorporating a stylus into its products, but it remains clear that the company is thinking about how such pen-based input could be used in novel ways.
Apple's optical stylus is based on a tiny camera on the tip of the pen, allowing it to track patterns on a device's screen that is invisible to the user's eye.

Next iPhone 5 screen will be 4 inches, not 3.95
According to the math equations the new iPhone 5 will have 4-inch display, not 3.95-inch one as was expected earlier.
1136Pixels/326PPI=3.484… inches for one side
640Pixels/326PPI = 1.9632…inches same as the current
Square both sides: x^2 + y^2 = 15.9924. Take the Square root…
3.9990511674646 ~ 4 inches.

Apple ordering screens sized at least 4" for next iPhone
The Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday that Apple began placing orders for a new, larger screen (it will measure "at least 4 inches diagonally") for the next iPhone. Production of the screens is set to begin in the next few months.
Rumors have suggested for some time that the next iPhone will be a major redesign, overhauling the look of the handset that has remained since the launch of the iPhone 4 in mid-2010. A larger screen would be a major change for the device, and could require developers to update their applications to take advantage of the larger display.
