Boot Speed Test: iPhone 5s vs iPhone 5c vs iPhone 5

iClarified has compared the boot speed of the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and iPhone 5. Below you may watch the video, which proves that the new flagship is the first to boot. Well, nothing unusual here. Then comes the plastic iPhone and right after him - the fifth-gen iPhone.

As I’ve mentioned before, the iPhone 5s with a brand new 64-bit processor was the fastest. It took only 20.5 seconds for it to boot. The boot speed of the iPhone 5c and iPhone 5 is 25.9 and 29.0 seconds respectively. You should note though, that the devices were restored to iOS 7 before the testing and contained no user data. So the actual boot speed may vary.

Here’s the boot speed ‘competition’ video.

Apple Asks Suppliers to Increase Production of Gold iPhone 5s - Rumor

The gold iPhone 5s seems to be a device of high demand - according to the latest WSJ report, the company from Cupertino has asked its suppliers to increase the production of the new handset by one third. As you probably know, the first two batches of the Apple’s new gold flagship were sold out after a few minutes after the launch of sales.

Apple Inc. has asked its suppliers to increase production of the gold-colored iPhone 5S by an additional one-third after seeing strong demand, people familiar with the situation said. It isn’t clear whether there are currently supply constraints manufacturing the new iPhone.

Apple hasn’t yet confirmed the rumor, anyway, it seems to be plausible.

Take a Look at 'Space Gray' iPod Nano

iPod nano has got a 'Space Gray' color to match the latest iPhone 5s. Does this mean the company from Cupertino will no longer produce new devices in black? Who knows.

Below you may take a look at Ben Pasternak’s video showing the slightly redesigned in terms of color Apple’s player.

Here’s the description from YouTube:

Got my hands on the latest color option when purchasing a iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano, iPod Touch or a iPhone 5S "Space Gray". I give you all a first look at this color on the iPod Nano.

If to speak about me, although the 'Space Gray' iPod nano looks OK, I’d rather buy a black one. And what color would you prefer?

Evad3rs Achieve Unsigned Userland Code Execution on iOS 7

Famous hacker Planetbeing, member of Evad3rs team, posted an update regarding team's iOS 7 jailbreak progress. They've achieved one important step - unsigned userland code execution. Basically this means that they've got behind Apple's walls of security and now can poke at the kernel. Bugs found in the kernel could be used to create a jailbreak for the new operating system.

Achieved unsigned userland code execution with some of our stuff in reserve. Now we have a good platform for poking the kernel.

Photos taken with iPhone 5s

Apple has unveiled today the new iPhone 5s. It features an upgraded camera which was tested by taking different photos.

The all-new 8 megapixel iSight camera features a larger f/2.2 aperture and a new, larger sensor with 1.5μ pixels for better sensitivity and low-light performance, resulting in better pictures. These improvements, along with the Apple-designed image signal processor in the A7 chip and the new Camera app in iOS 7, provide up to two-times faster auto-focus, faster photo capture, automatic image and video stabilization, and better dynamic range. iPhone 5s introduces the new True Tone flash—the world’s first for any camera—that variably adjusts color and intensity for over 1,000 combinations, so photos taken with a flash appear more natural. iPhone 5s also includes a new Burst Mode, Slo-Mo video with 120 fps, a new FaceTime HD camera for better low-light performance and audio-only FaceTime calls with iOS 7.

Have a look at the pictures below!
