App Store for Apple Watch Goes Live [Images]





Last year, during the official media event devoted to Apple's first-ever wearable gadget called the Apple Watch, Apple CEO Tim Cook and other company executives promised that the smartwatch will not only run its own special modification of iOS, but also will boast its own App Store with applications designed for this new device. Looks like they kept their word as the new repository began to work on Friday.

Apple Removes Information About Apple Watch Availability from Its Website



As you probably know, the long-anticipated Apple Watch is heavily constrained at the moment. There are two reasons for that: strong demand for the wearable device and Apple’s inability to catch up with this demand. Because of these two reasons, Apple sold out the initial stock of the gadget within just six hours after the start of pre-orders. Shipping estimates slipped to June and for some models - to July.

In order not to mislead users and potential customers, Apple has just updated its official Apple Watch website and removed the April 24th launch date. Below you may take a look at several screenshots showing this change. Instead of the date of launch, now you can see a small note to customers saying that the Watch is coming.

Prices for AppleCare+ for Apple Watch Will Depend on Model You Choose - Rumors



At the “Spring Forward” media event back in March, the guys from Cupertino announced that the AppleCare+ program will be available for Apple Watch customers. However, they somehow failed to mention the prices for this extended support service.

iOS 8.3 Features New iTunes and App Store Password Settings



Apart from Siri’s ability to make calls using iPhone’s speakerphone added to the latest iOS 8.3 beta, one beta-tester has recently noticed one more feature included to the latest version of Apple’s mobile operating system. This feature is a new Setting tab called Password Settings. It allows user to configure the frequency of password entries in the iTunes and App Store as well as to let him download free apps without using the password. Siri Now Can Make Calls Using Speakerphone



With the release of iOS 8.3 beta, the guys from Cupertino have slightly improved the functionality of the build-in voice assistant. According to what reliable sources write, Siri now can make calls via speakerphone every time user asks for that using the “Hey Siri” command. Strangely enough, such a simple feature was missing in iOS 8 - 8.2. It’s good Apple discovered this and found a solution to the problem.

Here's How Apple Watch Companion App for iPhone Looks Like [Images]



As you probably know, Apple’s iOS 8.2 can boast of one special app. This is the Apple Watch companion, which can be used to fine tune the wearable device and control it from the iPhone. So far, we haven’t seen the design and features of this useful app, however, thanks to iOS developer Hamza Sood we can now take a look at how the smartwatch companion looks like after one connects the Apple Watch to it.

To be honest, the app looks quite similar to the Settings tab found in iOS. There are numerous sections responsible for app layout, notifications, sounds and many other things. You can take a look at the aforementioned app screenshots below.

New 13-inch MacBook Air Specs Appear Online



As you probably know, at the media event scheduled for March 9th, we may see the long-awaited Apple Watch as well as the redesigned 12-inch MacBook Air and the updated 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models. Apple Leaks New iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 With Touch ID



Apple accidentally leaked a new iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 featuring Touch ID in screenshots for its official iPad User Guide.

In addition to revealing the new devices, the guide also reveals that the iPad Air 2 will feature burst mode for taking photos with the iPad Air 2.

Leaked iOS 8 Screenshots Show Healthbook, TextEdit and Preview App Icons



According to the latest reports, Apple is currently testing iOS 8 and such new apps as Healthbook, Preview and TextEdit. The screenshots showing the appropriate app icons leaked online earlier today. As to the first app, it is believed to be a fitness tracker; Preview and TextEdit are the Mac’s applications with iCloud support and slightly limited functionality (if to compare with their desktop versions).
