According to the data, published recently by , Apple still remains the most successful smartphone manufacturer in the USA. iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c remain the most popular devices, purchased on contract in the USA for the third month in a row.

Glassdoor.com, a job listing website, has recently conducted a survey in order to determine the best and the worst places to work. The company from Cupertino has been ranked 35th in the "Best Places to Work 2014" list, one spot down if to compare with its last year’s achievement.
Apple to Open San Francisco Stonestown Store and New Apple Store in Germany
According to the retail store finder, the company from Cupertino will reopen its Stonestown Apple Store in San Francisco on December 14th. Moreover, that same day one brand new location will be opened in Dusseldorf, Germany.
Apple Offering 24-hour Shipping for Any Carrier-Locked iPhone 5s
Apple is now offering 24-hour shipping for any carrier-locked iPhone 5s version you choose, reports. However, those who plan to purchase an unlocked handset, will have to wait a bit - a few days, probably. One-day shipping is currently available only for customers in the United States, but with time, I believe, such an option will be added to Apple Online Stores all over the world.
iTunes Match Now Available in Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden
The company from Cupertino has recently made iTunes Match available in several new countries, namely, Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Now all of the iTunes users in these countries have access to the popular music service. As to the price of the yearly subscription, it is only 249 kr per year in Denmark, Sweden, and Norway and €24.99 in Finland.
Apple to Participate in So-Called "Hour of Code"
Apple on Monday confirmed that it will be participating in the so-called "Hour of Code", a campaign aimed to engage students in computer programming. The event will take place in U.S. Apple Stores on Wednesday, starting 5:00 PM. Those who want to come and learn something new should hurry up and make a reservation since the quantity of students for each workshop is limited.
Apple's "Curved touch sensor" Patent Granted
Curved displays are the future. Well, this is what Samsung, LG and a number of other companies want us to believe. Back in October, Samsung announced the first smartphone ever with curved display and LG promised to release a curved OLED television.
The company from Cupertino couldn’t stand aside, so it came up with a patent for its own curved screen for smartphones, tablets and other gadgets. This patent was granted by U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Tuesday.

The analyst’s figures are based on data from 60 locations in different cities. According to what Munster writes, all models, either carrier-locked or unlocked and SIM-free, can be purchased right now.

Number of Apps on U.S. App Store Reaches 1 Million
The number of apps on the U.S. App Store for both iPhone and iPad has reached 1 million. As of Saturday, there were 1,006,557 apps available for download, reports. This figure doesn’t include “foreign” apps i.e. those available within one country or a couple of countries, but not in the United States.
