According to the latest report from research firm Chitika Insights, iOS 7 adoption rate has recently reached 89.7%. Such figure is based on the data about web traffic generated by North American iPhone users.

Apple has reportedly filed trademarks for several apps and features from the upcoming iOS 8, namely, Healthbook, HealthKit, iResearch and some other. Apart from the filings related directly to Healthbook, there're some that deal with other iOS features. One of those is the Apple CarPlay trademark, which was filed in February.

A concept designer named Jay Machalani has recently created an iOS 8 concept, which allows you to expand icons into special widget blocks. These blocks look pretty similar to Android's Widgets and Microsoft's Live Tiles.
