Apple has recently published a patent which describes that the rumored fingerprint sensor for the iPhone 5S will be built into the screen. It was suggested before that the sensor would be inserted in the Home button.
iPhone 5S has been long rumored to have a fingerprint sensor, the latter being a distinguishing feature from the previous models. In the new model the fingerprint sensor will be used to verify purchases and to unlock the device. It will certainly be a breakthrough technology. Verizon is likely to owe Apple $14 Billion
A recent marketing research discovered that Verizon may end up owing Apple 14 billion dollars for selling less iPhones than it committed to do in 2013.
According to Craig Moffett, a telecommunications analyst, in 2010 Verizon signed an agreement with Apple to sell iPhones worth 23.5 billion dollars during 2013 alone. Miselu company has launched a new product for iPad – a wireless music keyboard. It boasts a high-quality two-octave (24-key) music keyboard. It can also work as an iPad cover, and has a micro-USB slot and a sealed Li-ion battery for 5-6 hours of operation.
What’s more, the keyboard is also compatible with Windows and Linux software, just if they support MIDI over USB.

iPhone 5 sells twice as fast as Galaxy 4
According to a recent market research, Samsung spent twice as much time to ship 20 millions Galaxy 4 units as Apple for shipping the same amount of iPhone 5.
Judging by official opening weekend numbers and quarterly earnings reports, it took Apple 25 days to ship 20 million items, a month less than Samsung figure. Moreover, over the launch period Apple shipped 805,000 units per days, whereas Samsung sold half as many, about 333,000.

Apple is following Android’s experience of installing offline voice dictation programs. Nowadays, California-based company is carrying out tests of this version for iOS.
Before Apple’s voice-to-text function required Internet connection. It made the process slow and out-of-date. The system uploaded a recording to a converter and then downloaded the text version to the device.
Future iOS versions will allow users to convert voice into text offline. So the process will be much quicker. However, it means that users will dispose of less storage place.
Apple builds a solar farm in Nevada
Apple is paying for the construction of an 18-megawatt photovoltaic solar plant in Nevada. It will power the company’s Reno data centre. According to Apple’s 2012 Environmental Footprint Report,Nevada centre will be the same environmentally responsible as the one in Maiden,North California. The latter helped to lessen unemployment by hiring hundreds of people during its construction.
The new station will use endless resources of natural solar radiation as well as geothermal recourses to supply the data centre with sufficient energy. It will cover 60% of power needs while the remaining will be acquired from local and regional sources.

Apple CEO Tim Cook is reported to have held a three-hour meeting on new sales strategy for company’s employees and shareholders. According to 9to5Mac, he was talking on possible ways to increase the number of iPhones sold through the Apple Store. So far, the percentage of phones bought on the Internet or from other retailers like Walmart and Best Buy is close to 80. Quite obvious, that the result of only 20 percent is not enough good as for the company's main retail store.
