Release of Microsoft Office app is expected to be in early 2013
Microsoft Office application for iPhone and iPad, expected to start setting on the iOS App Store in early 2013. It offers free preview of documents, but there is subscription for Office required to edit documents. On Wednesday, The Verge revealed details of the software. The "Office Mobile" application will be free distributed, but it requires Microsoft Office account. The Office Mobile application will include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. With an annual subscription to the Office, the user will be able to edit documents. Office Mobile is also expected on the Google Android platform, although the application will appear on Apple's iOS first.
Five New Apple Retail Stores Opening for iPhone 5 Launch Week
Apple has announced the grand opening of five new retail stores in support of the iPhone 5 launch this Friday. The first opening set for Thursday and the first new store at the Rio Shopping mall will open its doors in the Spanish city Valladolid. The Thursday opening is unusual due to the fact that a brand-new Rio Shopping center also opens this day.
The iPhone 5 launch will be at 8:00 a.m. local time on Friday in nine countries, and at the same time three new stores will open their doors for the customers. New stores include:
Apple Issues Invitations for Media Event on September 12
The Loop reports that Apple on Tuesday sent out invitations for an upcoming media event scheduled for next week Wednesday, September 12. The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco and begins at 10:00 AM Pacific / 1:00 PM Eastern. The tagline on the invitation is simply "It's almost here."
Apple Hits New Highs as Tim Cook Celebrates One Year as CEO
On August 24 one year ago Steve Jobs stepped down from the Apple’s CEO post which he held for more a decade and Tim Cook took over the company’s management. After the announcement, Apple's stock dropped more than 5% in after hours to $351.
But now Apple is the most valuable publicly-traded company in the world. Its current share price is $668, gaining more than 75% year-over-year. With Cook in charge, Apple released the iPhone 4S, the new iPad, the Retina MacBook Pro, Mountain Lion and previewed the next version of iOS.
iWork, iPhoto, iMovie & Aperture receive updates for Apple's Mountain Lion
With the yesterday’s Mountain Lion launch, Apple updated its iWork productivity suite, as well as iPhoto, iMovie and Aperture. Updates for Pages, Numbers, and Keynote include support of the high-resolution Retina display on the next-generation MacBook Pro.

Apple seeded the Golden Master version of its new OS X Mountain Lion. The Build is 12A269. The Golden Master designation means that this version is planned to be the final version of the software released to the public and there will not be any last-minute issues.
Apple released iOS 6.0 Beta 2 for developers
Apple recently released new iOS 6 beta 2 for developers. It is available as an OTA update or as a download here. Apple also updated Xcode 4.5 developer preview 2, Apple TV beta 2 as well.

You’ve obviously heard that Apple is going to refresh its Maps application in the forthcoming iOS6 and move away from Google Maps that Apple has used since the launch of the iPhone in 2007, replacing it by the company’s own service.

Adobe Releases Collage And Proto Apps For iPad
Adobe Collage app that was previously available for Android platform today was also released to iPad users. This app allows users to assemble moodboards using content that can be imported from Adobe Creative Suite programs or uploaded to 2GB Adobe Creative Cloud space.
