Apple Releases Fix for ‘Error 53’, Updates iOS 9.2.1



Apple has released a fix to the ‘Error 53’ issue affecting iPhones that were repaired by unauthorized third-party technicians and that got bricked after the update to iOS 9.2.1. According to Apple, to make your disabled iPhone work again, you should connect the device to iTunes and perform a full system restore that will download the updated iOS 9.2.1 version on your phone. Please note that the OTA-update won’t fix the issue, everything should be performed through iTunes on your computer.

Customers Begin Receiving New USB-C Cables for Their MacBooks



Earlier this month, Apple launched a new replacement program for faulty USB-C cables purchased together with 2015 MacBook units and began shipping the replacement cables to the customers free of charge. Today, a report appeared on the Internet suggesting that first customers have begun receiving their replacement cables and special letters from Apple explaining the terms of USB-C cable replacement program.

Apple Launches MacBook USB-C Cable Replacement Program



Apple has started a new replacement program for USB-C cables shipped with some 2015 Retina MacBooks. According to Apple, a limited number of cables are faulty and may cause troubles during charging or fail to charge the laptop. Apple offers customers to replace the faulty cables at no cost. By the end of February, Apple will ship the new cables to those customers, who have indicated their address during the registration. They can also get their replacement by visiting the nearest Apple Store.

Apple to Start Production of Updated MacBook Models in Q1 or Q2 2016



According to the latest report from reliable reporters, Apple will start the production of updated 12-inch and 13.3-inch MacBook models either at the end of the first, or in the second calendar quarter of 2016. As to the 15-inch MacBook lineup, it will go into production in the third quarter of this year, sources claim. Unfortunately, the tech specs of the upcoming laptops remain unknown. All we know is that the devices should be equipped with new Skylake processors and possibly Thunderbolt 3 with USB-C.

Samsung Galaxy S7 to Feature Pressure-Sensitive Display and Other New Features



According to the latest report from The Wall Street Journal, both Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will feature a pressure-sensitive display similar to the one iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have. Moreover, new flagship devices may be equipped with new USB-C posts supporting fast charging as well as better cameras optimized for low-light photography. On top of that, the South Korean tech giant is reportedly planning to add a retina scanner to the next generation of its premium smartphones. In terms of design, both handsets are expected to resemble the Galaxy S6.
