iPhone 5c sales are reaching those of iPhone 5s

Localytics has published a new report that claims San Francisco to be the best selling location for the iPhone 5s while in general the gap between iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c sales is dwindling.

After close to one week of sales, we found that, overall, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco held the largest market share in the U.S. for iPhone 5s and 5c activations. This is to be expected given the size of their populations. However the real surprise was that San Francisco came in third. Considering San Francisco is actually the 11th largest market in the U.S., its status as a technology haven also, clearly, translates to a culture of early adoption.

We then looked at the distribution of the iPhone 5s and 5c for each of the cities. Again, San Francisco stood out, showing the strongest preference for the 5s over the 5c (85% vs. 15%) among the top 12 major U.S. cities. Philadelphia showed the lowest preference with 72%.

New York Police Department Encourages People to Update to iOS 7

The New York City Police Department is asking people to upgrade to iOS 7. This is all due to its improved security and, among the rest - due to the ‘Activation Lock’ feature.

According to some police officials, the seventh version of the Apple’s mobile operating system is probably the most protected.

After months of pressure from a global coalition of elected officials and law enforcement agencies, we are pleased that Apple is set to release a new mobile operating system that includes a theft deterrent feature called Activation Lock. This is an important first step towards ending the global epidemic of smartphone theft.

Looks like the new iPhones are really worth purchasing devices.

iPhone 5s supplies will be low at launch

According to information provided by llThingsD, some sources close to mobile carriers claim that the stock of the iPhone 5s will be very low during its launch on Friday, September 20th.

Sources at multiple U.S. carriers said that the inventory of the new phone is significantly less than expected.

“We will have grotesquely unavailable inventory,” was how one carrier source put it.

Another carrier confirmed 'extremely disappointing shipments' from Apple. However, it was stated that the demand for the iPhone 5s is likely to be slightly lower than expected. It seems the bright colors of the low-cost iPhone 5c have captured eyes of customers.

The new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c will start selling in stores on September 20th at 8:00 a.m.

DGtle has published the first photos of the gold iPhone 5s unboxing process.

Honestly, I personally feel as 5c 5s packaging design eye-catching, and the former is basically not much difference, that is, the side from five frontal photograph changed back to black is all white boxes. Law-abiding, wins in the high degree of recognition.

We will kindly remind you that Apple is to launch the iPhone 5s on September 20th.

Have a look at the pictures below.

Apple Has Revealed Detailed Schematics for its Forthcoming iPhone 5s and 5c

Apple has revealed highly detailed schematics for its forthcoming iPhone 5s and 5c, so that the third-party case manufacturers can use them to design the accessories that doesn’t prevent from using all the smartphones’ features.

Having an idea about the internal components layout is very important.

While the iPhone 5c is known to have a polycarbonate body with a steel-reinforced frame that doubles as a multi-band antenna, the drawings show the design requires radio transparent windows at the top and bottom of the chassis.

All the schemes are published to Apple's Developer Center, so if you want to take a look at the full-sized images, here’s the link.
