Apple Extends Warranty Coverage In Australia To Two Years
Australian Consumer Protections law requires that sellers of products provide warranties for a reasonable period of time from date of delivery until the problem becomes apparent, which has been interpreted for computers as two years. Apple offers a standard warranty for one year on all its products, while AppleCare provides coverage for three years on Macs.
Today The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Apple’s authorized resellers and retail store staff have been informed of a change in how the company handles warranty claims in Australia. The report notes:
Appeal filed by Apple in Mexico was rejected
An appeal filed by Apple over its use of the "iPhone" trademark in Mexico, was rejected, according to The Wall Street Journal. It continues for some time, but did not appear to affect Apple’s ability to sell the iPhone and related services in the country.
Apple is offering the new iMac configuration
According to Macworld UK, Apple introduced a new configuration for its 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMacs, which allows customers to select VESA adapter instead of the standard base. The 40 dollars configuration allows users to mount their iMac on the walls or other vertical surfaces, but the device should be configured at the time of purchase.
Google Now video was accidentally appeared on YouTube
Google Now is available only on Android devices, aimed at giving users “the right information, at the right time", appears on iOS, unless a leaked video is to be believed. Google reportedly released a promo video on YouTube accidentally. The record was quickly removed, but not before an Engadget made a copy of it.

New Apple Patent Application Reveals Slap Bracelet With Flexible Display
A new from Apple discloses a new "bracelet" device with a wraparound design where the display would cover the whole outer surface.
