12-Inch MacBook to Be Released Soon - Rumor



Back in October, a normally reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities claimed that Apple will release a new 12-inch MacBook with a display resolution of 2732 x 1536 pixels in 2014. Looks like he was right. According to a new report that appeared on the Internet yesterday, the company from Cupertino is indeed working on a new MacBook Air. As to the MacBook Pro, there won’t be any updated model until September.

Apple to Release iTunes Store for Android and Launch Music Streaming Service?



Apple is currently thinking about launching an iTunes Store app for Android, Billboard reports. Apart from that, the guys from Cupertino may soon start working on a new subscription-based music streaming service. The main reason for such radical actions is quite obvious: U.S. digital album sales have recently started to fall.

According to some anonymous insiders, Apple won’t equip its next-generation iPhone with a 13-megapixel camera. Instead, the guys from Cupertino will try to improve the existing 8-megapixel sensor in order to make the photos you take look better.

As you know, Apple on Tuesday released a cheaper 8GB iPhone 5c model. However, it is currently available only in several countries, namely, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Australia and China. Pegatron Reportedly Starts Preparing for iPhone 6 Manufacture



A well-known Apple supplier, Pegatron, has reportedly started hiring new workers in China. These people, as well as new production capacities, are required to assemble Apple’s next-generation handset that is expected to be released in the second half of 2014.

As was reported earlier, Pegatron may become responsible for manufacture of about half of the iPhone 6’s supplies.

Apple Officially Releases Cheaper 8GB iPhone 5c in the UK



Apple on Tuesday released a cheaper iPhone 5c model with 8GB of memory on board. The UK carrier O2 was the first to offer the updated handset via its online store. The prices for iPhone 5c, as you may see at the link above, range from free to £409.99 (this is about $680).

Leaked iOS 8 Screenshots Show Healthbook, TextEdit and Preview App Icons



According to the latest reports, Apple is currently testing iOS 8 and such new apps as Healthbook, Preview and TextEdit. The screenshots showing the appropriate app icons leaked online earlier today. As to the first app, it is believed to be a fitness tracker; Preview and TextEdit are the Mac’s applications with iCloud support and slightly limited functionality (if to compare with their desktop versions).

iOS 7.1 Adoption Rate in North America Reaches 12% in 45 Hours After Release



Although it is not recommended to upgrade to the latest iOS version if you have a jailbroken device, iOS 7.1 adoption rate in North America reached as many as 12% in just 45 hours after the official release, Chitika reports. Such results are based on online ad impressions from iOS-devices gathered between March 9th and March 12th, 2014.

The latest estimates prove that iTunes Radio has become the third most popular streaming music service in the United States. Incredible result, especially if to keep in mind that Apple’s service is just 6 months old.
