Samsung Sues Newspaper Called Electronic Times for $284.000



Apple's mail rival - Samsung - has sued a newspaper called Electronic Times for 300 million KRW (this is about $284,000) over the article about the company's latest flagship Galaxy S5. The authors of the publication claim the smartphone has a faulty camera, which is incorrect, Samsung believes.

iWatch to Feature UV Light Exposure Sensor - Rumor



As we already know, Apple's iWatch will boast of a number of sensors capable of monitoring your health. These sensors will help you measure your heart rate, sleep activity, step count, skin temperature etc.

According to the latest report from Blayne Curtis of Barclays, Apple's iWatch might also include an UV light exposure sensor. Such sensor will be helpful for those people who have skin problems. But not only for them, of course.

Apple Begins Testing 65-inch OLED Panels for Upcoming iTV



Apple has reportedly began testing 65-inch OLED panels for the upcoming iTV. These panels seem to be manufactured by an unknown Korean firm, IBK Securities reports.

Apple was expected to release its long-anticipated television in the second half of 2014, however, it appears that the guys from Cupertino aren't yet ready to start the mass production of the device.

Apple CEO Tim Cook has become nearly the most successful CEO of the last year. The sum he earned over 2013 is nearly $74 million. Such achievement allowed him to occupy the second spot in the richest tech CEO’s rating. As to the first and the third positions, they’re occupied by Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook with nearly $4 billion and Meg Whitman of HP with $17.6 million respectively.

Apple to Announce Q2 2014 Earnings on April 23



According to an announcement on Apple’s official website, the company will officially report its financial results in Q2 of 2014 on April 23rd. Over the past months, Apple has neither launched new products, nor released new software. Well, I’m not taking into consideration minor iOS and OS X updates, the release of an 8GB iPhone 5c and updated iPad 4 in several countries. I don’t think these events are crucial for the company.

iOS 7 Adoption Rate Reaches 85% - Apple



According to the updated figures that can be found on the App Store Distribution section, iOS 7 adoption rate reached 85%. This means that nearly 90% of the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users have upgraded to the latest iOS version.

In case you don’t know, Apple released iOS 7 on September 18th, 2013. On December 6th, about 74% of the devices were running iOS 7 and on January 27th, 2014 - nearly 80%.
