Welcome iPhone 5C?
According to a photo posted on WeiPhone forum, the next Apple phone will be called 'iPhone 5C'. The picture, found by Macotakara, shows a container full of packaging material to be used for Apple's new smartphone.
Nowever, the photo cannot be claimed 100% authentic, it may just be a picture of production knockoffs. Still, according to its size, the packaging will be a little bigger than the one for previous Apple devices.
It has already been predicted by iLounge that the coming Apple's low-cost smartphone will be called iPhone 5C. It is also believed, that the device will be made of plastic only, unlike its ancestors, iPhone 5, fifth-generation iPod touch and iPod classic. The new model will feature a 4” screen, a back similar to fifth-gen iPod touch, and a shape similar to iPod classic.

Another Alleged Lower Cost iPhone Photo
Another photo of the alleged lower cost iPhone appeared on Friday on the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. This time it seems to be a fully assembled device with all the required legal notices on the rear shell.
Apple Wins a 'Brand of the Year' Award
Harris Interactive, a marketing research firm, gave Apple the title of “Brand of the Year” in three categories - Computers, Tablets and Smartphones, reports.
Will Barak Obama veto iPhone and iPad import ban?
Last June ITC issued an order to ban Apple from importing its older products. The ITC discovered that Apple infringed on a Samsung patent related to cellular technology in AT&T models of the 3GS and 4 as well as with the iPad 1 and 2 3G models.
The ban will go in effect on August 5th. Although there is still hope that President Obama vetoes the ban. Considering that he did not do that over the last decade, the ban is unlikely to be cancelled.
It was the Verizon Lawyer Randal Milch who asked President Obama to veto the ITC ban.
Apple's Patent for Another Invention
According to the US Patent and Trademark Office, Apple has filed another patent. Or, to be more precise, it has already got the patent for its would-be invention. This time it’s a new technology that is said to make you phone battery life much longer.
Apple is EA's biggest retail partner
According to EA quarterly report, Apple has become the company's biggest retail partner. EA gained more money through Apple than any other single partner. It's revenue from smartphones and tablets reached $90 million , although it was not specified how much of that was exclusive to iOS.
The Simpsons: Tapped Out had the highest quarterly profit and the last three quarters were more prosperous than any other previous quarters. Other games like Real Racing 3 also gained quite a lot of money as well. The racing game boasts 45 million downloads and averages 2 million daily users.
AT&T is bringing 4G to new markets
It was announced today that since now 7 markets will be boasting 4G LTE thanks to AT&T new program. The American carrier has already covered 336 with this new technology. Four of the newly launching markets were announced before as coming by the "end of the summer."

New Lower Cost iPhone Back Shell Compared with Older iPhones
Michael Kukielka (the DetroitBorg) has made a new video comparing a leaked back shell of a would-be plastic iPhone with the older versions of Apple smartphones as well as with iPod touch.
Apple's Testing a 13-inch iPad and a Larger iPhone?
According to the latest rumours, Apple is currently testing larger screens for iPhone and iPad. The Wall Street Journal claims the company from Cupertino ordered several prototypes from its Asian suppliers several months ago.
iPhone sales data
The new data presented in June by Consumer Intelligence Research state that Apple's iPhone 5 sales account for 52% of the company's smartphone sales. The figure of iPhone 4S corresponds to 30% of the sales while the one of iPhone 4 only reaches 18%.
The sales Phone 5 seem to be occupying more than half of all iPhone sales, figures registered nine months after the launch of newcomer. Whereas the earlier model, iPhone 4S, accounts for almost three-quarters of iPhone sales nearly a year after its launch. Last but not the least, iPhone 4S had 90 percent of all iPhone sales in the immediate after-launch period , compared to about 70 percent for iPhone 5.

Latest leaked documents that were first seen on PhoneArena show that there would be two models of the so-called iPhone Lite. They would have some differences in hardware, however, the screen size and processor are said to be the same or nearly the same.
