Apple to Acquire Japan's Renesas SP Drivers Soon - Rumor





The company from Cupertino may soon acquire Renesas SP Drivers, a unit of Japan's Renesas Electronics that manufactures chips for smartphone displays. Such chips are designed specifically for small or mid-size screens; they’re capable of detecting a display's performance, energy efficiency and a number of other parameters. Renesas SP is currently one of the Apple’s suppliers.

Pegatron and Foxconn to Start Production of Next-Gen iPhones and iPad Airs in Q2 or Q3



According to the latest rumors, the production of the next-gen iPhone and iPad Air will start in the second or in the third quarter of 2014. Many Existing and New Users May Upgrade to iPhone 6 - Analyst



A large number of existing iPhone users may upgrade to iPhone 6 because of its larger display, claims analyst Brian Marshall of ISI Group. Apart from that, Apple’s next-generation handset may lure new users - those people who previously used Android devices.

The analyst believes that the company from Cupertino will release two iPhone 6 models, one with 4.7-inch display and one with 5.5-inch display. Apple is expected to unveil both smartphones in the second half of 2014.

Apple to Launch 8GB iPhone 5c ...Tomorrow?

TechRadar iPhone 6 Concept - Video



Ahead of iPhone 6 release that is expected to take place either in July or in September, TechRadar has come up with its own smartphone concept. To be honest, it looks pretty much the same as other concepts. Except for one thing - there’s no physical home button. Russia's Megafon Contract with Apple - Details



Russia’s second largest carrier, Megafon, has signed a deal with Apple to sell iPhones in Russia, Reuters report. According to the terms of this deal, Megafon will buy at least 750,000 iPhone units from Apple over the next 3 years and try to resell them to Russian customers.
