CNet notes that Intel’s Ivy Bridge processors will include improved graphics processing unit (GPU). According to Anandtech, Intel expects that graphics processing on next generation chips will be 60% faster than on Sandy Bridge processors that are currently shipped in Apple’s computers.

According to Bloomberg, South Korea is the first country worldwide that has convinced Apple to change its customer service policy on faulty iPhones. The country’s fair trade commission has persuaded Apple to replace defective iPhone with new models instead of refurbished devices, providing users report faults within one month after purchase.

At the Intel’s Developer Forum the Intel today announced a new processor that will be capable to supply power to a x86 computer in stand-by mode for 10 days off a single charge. New Haswell processor implements a 3D-transistor 22-nanometer architecture, which uses 20 times less energy than current Sandy Bridge chips included in the newest Macs. Also the new processor can power a computer by grabbing light from a source the size of light bulb. In addition, Haswell processors will run faster than current chips.

Hewlett-Packard, the ailing computer maker, announced a new iOS app Printer Control with printing and remote control capabilities. Apart from typical set of functions such as automatic printer setup and discovery, troubleshooting cartridge identification, printer status notification this iOS app allows using your iOS device as a scanner and includes scan to Google Docs, scan to email and scan to Facebook capabilities.

According to DigiTimes, production of iPhone 5 is in full swing with 150,000 manufactured units per day. However, this rate is not quite sufficient for Apple, as it plans to release the iPhone for the holiday season.

Reportedly, Apple’s A6 processors will be produced on 28 nm process technology in TSMC, and will be shipped in the Q2 of 2012.

In July Dutch site AppleSpot.nl posted some rumors regarding an iPod touch with 3G capabilities, now AppleNApps revives the rumors claiming that a 3G-capable iPod touch is indeed in development, and while Apple is reportedly planning for a launch this September.

After talking with multiple people over the past few weeks, we had a lengthy chat with one person who gave us great news about the next iPod Touch. We’ve used this person in the past, but they did qualify their remarks, saying that the iPod Touch changes should make it, but there’s no guarantee the changes will be ready for fall. The 3G iPod Touch idea intrigued us so much back in July, and we’ve been trying to find one of our contacts who can give some credence to the idea. A few have declined to comment, while others honestly have no idea, but the source for this report says that Apple is indeed working on a 3G iPod Touch. Apple is intent on announcing the device during their September event which they usually save for their iPod line, but will include the iPhone as well this year.

Evidence of iPod Touch 3G was reviled in July when there was discovered a new "iPod4,2" model mentioned in property list files in early iOS 5 builds.  Its designation as a minor "4,2" evolution of the existing iPod4  suggested that the new iPod touch could be similar to the fourth-generation iPod touch currently available from Apple.

Today Adobe announced that Digital Publishing Suite will support Apple upcoming Newsstand service for iOS 5. Newsstand feature is designed to serve as the organization centre for digital subscriptions in Apple’s iOS 5, allowing users to easily access the recent content downloaded in background mode.

Apple’s sales in China are up sixfold and reached $3.8 billion in second quarter revenues. Chinese market remains largely untapped and Apple could increase iPhone sales there by reaching agreements with additional Chinese carriers. However until now Apple hasn’t succeeded in reaching the agreement with the largest wireless operator China Mobile, and the sole Apple’s carrier in this country remains China Unicom. We’ve heard that Apple has begun iOS 5 and iCloud training with retail store employees through a new section of the company’s recently released internal RetailMe application. Such fact might be an indication of a forthcoming release of the iPhone 5 as Apple typically introduces major iOS updates in the days surrounding new iPhone launches. Apple Store employees have begun receiving detailed information on Apple’s upcoming iCloud service and iOS 5. Apple originally said iCloud would be launching alongside iOS 5.  This iOS 5 and iCloud training news helps support rumors about  late September iPhone 5 pre-orders and an early October launch.

The iPhone Dev-Team has released RedSn0w 0.9.8b7b to bring two new main features:

• explicit tethered jailbreak support for iOS 5 Beta 7
• untethered jailbreak for iPhone 3GS with old bootrom (iOS 4.3.5 or iOS 5 Beta 7)

This is great news for both developers and owners of old bootrom iPhone 3GS's who accidentally updated to iOS 4.3.5.

About 12 hours after we released redsn0w 0.9.8b7 with some improvements for iOS5b6, Apple went and released iOS5b7 (what are the odds of that?!?). Even though that redsn0w could still jailbreak iOS5b7, you needed to point it at the iOS5b6 IPSW to do so. Today’s redsn0w 0.9.8b7b lets you point redsn0w directly at the iOS5b7 IPSW instead.

We’ve also added some overall improvements for old-bootrom 3GS owners (where the 24kpwn exploit applies): on those devices, you can tell redsn0w to untether 4.3.5 and lower, or iOS5b7. Old-bootrom 3GS owners can once again choose custom logos, and/or verbose booting (for the really nerdy iPhone3GS fans out there!). And it allows 4.3.4 or 4.3.5 users to use ultrasn0w again (if they have a compatible baseband).

Last but not least, we fixed some lingering Verizon iPhone4 4.2.10 JB issues.
