HP Unveils ‘Thinnest Notebook in the World’, Apple Has Got New Rival
HP has just unveiled something the company calls “the thinnest notebook in the world”. The laptop is called the Spectre and it’s only 10.4mm thick. Its rival, the 12-inch MacBook introduced in 2015 is 13.1mm thick.
In terms of hardware, these devices are different too. The new HP notebook is equipped with Intel Core i5 or i7 CPU, which is better than the Intel Core M processor included in the ultra-thin MacBook. In general, the device has a premium look and feel and costs $1,170. The pre-orders go live April 25th.

Apple to Let Users Hide or Delete Stock Apps?
According to the metadata found in a number of App Store apps, Apple may be planning to allow users to hide or remove the stock applications they don’t want to have on their devices. Frankly speaking, letting users delete the stock software they don’t need can help those who want to keep only the programs they utilize on a regular basis and avoid app clutter. However, since the size of Apple’s stock apps is really small, the ability to delete them won’t actually help to free up space on 16GB devices.

Apple Stops Signing iOS 9.2.1, Downgrades Are No Longer Possible
Apple has just stopped signing iOS 9.2.1, which means it is no longer possible to update or restore your compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to this version of the operating system. Currently, the company is signing only iOS 9.3 and iOS 9.3.1.
In case you don’t know, iOS 9.3 was released to users worldwide on March 21st. Because of a number of bugs affecting users from different countries, a couple of days after the initial release, Apple had to seed a new build of iOS 9.3 and then iOS 9.3.1 with major fixes and enhancements.
If you haven’t yet updated from an earlier version of iOS, you can do this right now using either the Software Update section on your phone or tablet, or your Mac or PC with iTunes 12.3 or higher on board.
iPhone SE, iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus: Ultimate Durability Test [Video]
According to the video that has been posted to YouTube by SquareTrade, the recently-released iPhone SE is less durable than the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The experts have recently performed a series of tests including placing the aforementioned devices into the water, dropping them from height and bending with a special machine. The results of these extensive testing procedures revealed that the 4-inch smartphone is the least durable among those tested.
It should be noted that the results of the iPhone SE are not surprising at all, especially if to keep in mind that the device has a design nearly identical to that of the iPhone 5s released back in 2013.
Below you can take a look at the video showing the testing process.

The experts claim that iOS 9.3 has the lowest crash rate in comparison with iOS 8, iOS 9 and iOS 9.2. In case you don’t know, a crash rate reflects the possibility of a software glitch or any other problem with the operating system.
iPhone SE Is Popular Among Former Android Users
According to the latest report from Slice Intelligence, the smaller 4-inch iPhone SE lures more Android switchers than the flagship iPhone 6s released in 2015. The figures shared by the analysts are based on the reports about SE pre-orders, so I guess we can trust what we see.
As noted by the experts, about 35% of early iPhone SE adopters purchased an iPhone online in the course of past two years. Nearly 16% of new owners of the 4-inch device are former Android users. If to compare these figures with those of the iPhone 6s, we’ll see that former Android owners made only 10% here.
Apple hasn’t yet announced the exact number of iPhone SE units pre-ordered in the first-wave launch countries. However, the company is expected to do this at a special conference call dedicated to the financial results in the second quarter of fiscal 2016 on April 25th.
