Android Phone Won’t Appear in New James Bond Movie Because of Reputation of Platform

According to some leaked internal Sony documents, last year, the company offered the "Spectre" star Daniel Craig a certain sum of money for using the Xperia Z4 phone in the upcoming movie. Craig, as well as Sam Mendes, the movie director, refused Sony’s multimillion deal. Moreover, they refused to use Samsung’s handset as well.

Here’s How iPad Sales Declined Since 2010 [Chart]



Apple on Tuesday announced its financial results in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015. Apart from record-breaking iPhone and Mac sales and incredible revenue, the company also reported about the number of iPads sold over the last couple of months. According to the official figures shared by the company, the number of iPads sold to customers worldwide in the fourth quarter is equal to 9.8 million units. Unfortunately for Apple, this figure demonstrates a 20% year-over-year decline in global sales. Even though Apple continues to be one of the leaders of the tablet market, looks like nothing can stop it from stagnation.

The analyst Benedict Evans has recently shared a chart showing how iPad sales declined since the debut of the original first-gen iPad back in 2010.

IDC Posts Report on Global Smartphone Sales in Q3 2015 [Chart]



According to the latest numbers from a research firm called IDC, Samsung and Apple continue to dominate on the global smartphone market. Surprisingly enough, Chinese vendor Huawei comes closer and closer to the leaders demonstrating a 60.9% year-over-year market share growth as well as a substantial increase in the number of handsets shipped to customers worldwide.

As can be seen in the chart below, Samsung is a leader of the global smartphone market with 23.8% market share and 84.5 million handsets sold in the third quarter of this year. Apple occupies the second place with 13.5% share and 48 million iPhones sold over the last months. Huawei’s market share is equal to 7.5% thanks to strong demand and 26.5 million handsets shipped to customers in the third quarter.

Apple Announces Financial Results in Fiscal Q4 2015



Just as it was expected, Apple has announced its financial results in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2015 that ended September 26th. The tech giant reported the quarterly revenue of $51.5 billion and net profit of $11.1 billion. If to compare these results with the results of the fourth quarter of 2014, we’ll see a substantial increase in revenue and net profit. In case you missed it, last year Apple managed to get the revenue of $42.1 billion and net profit of $8.5 billion. As to the gross margin, it rose from 38% last year to 39.9% in 2015.

Apple to Sell 75 Million iPhones and 4 Million Apple Watches During Holiday Quarter - Ming-Chi Kuo



KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has recently predicted that Apple will sell as many as 70-75 million iPhone units during the next holiday quarter. Apart from that, the expert believes that Apple will sell 3.5-4 million Apple Watch units to users worldwide in the foreseeable future. Thanks to customers from China and strong demand for Apple’s iPhones in other countries of availability, the year-over-year growth may account for 23.6%. After the holiday quarter, however, the shipments may fall substantially and demonstrate the year-over-year decline.

Apple Releases OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan with Numerous Fixes
