Google to Launch Smartphone with New Branding this Year
According to the latest report from The Telegraph, Google may be planning to launch its own smartphone by the end of this year. As noted by the reporters, the Google branding may allow the company to compete with Apple, Samsung and other vendors on equal terms. Currently, Google has a lineup of Nexus devices, however, aside from Google’s branding, these devices also have the name of the actual manufacturer on their bodies.

However, most of the articles tell us about the next-gen iPhone and possible specs of the device including a dual camera, no headphone jack and 256GB storage option. Several new images showing the alleged casing for the iPhone 7 have been recently shared by a French website Nowhereelse. There is no headphone jack on the leaked panel, moreover, one can see the dual speaker system for stereo audio playback. These photos go in line with previous rumors and reports from reputable experts and have been reportedly shared by supply chain insiders.
Insiders Share New Alleged iPhone 7 Images
Two new spy photos shared by a reliable French website Nowhereelse prove that the iPhone 7 may get a larger camera module and its larger sibling called the iPhone 7 Plus or Pro may be equipped with a dual camera. Today’s photos go in line with recent reports from supply chain sources and analysts who claim Apple is considering a switch to more advanced photo sensors for its 2016 iPhone lineup.

According to the latest report from the WSJ, Apple won’t completely change the design of the iPhone in 2016. The reporters believe that the company will improve water resistance and make the handset thinner and lighter. Moreover, it is very unlikely that the next-generation iPhone will get a headphone jack. As to the size, both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will resemble the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s and 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus. The report cites KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who earlier this year said that the new iPhone may become 1mm thinner and made other predictions concerning the device.

According to the latest report from Macotakara, Apple plans to ship the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus with standard 3.5mm headphones and a Lightning adapter. Recent rumors suggest that the company will ditch the headphone jack to reduce thickness and weight of the devices and make the headphones compatible with the Lighting port of the handsets.

Apple has begun pulling the 2012 13-inch non-Retina MacBook Pro models from the shelves of Apple Stores in the United States. While the laptops are still available for purchase, they are no longer showcased to customers. They can’t take a closer look at the older devices and test them with their own hands. While the images seem to be legitimate, I don’t think we can believe them straight away.

The image has been shared by a smartphone repair shop Rock Fix, so I don’t think we should take what we see for granted.
Developer Enables Dark Mode for Settings App in iOS 10
Additional proofs of Apple’s plans to bring a new system-wide Dark Mode to iPhones, iPads and iPod touch units have been recently found in the first beta of iOS 10. A developer named Andrew Wiik managed to turn on the rumored mode for the Settings app on his iPhone running the latest firmware version.
