Apple to Acquire Japan's Renesas SP Drivers Soon - Rumor



The company from Cupertino may soon acquire Renesas SP Drivers, a unit of Japan's Renesas Electronics that manufactures chips for smartphone displays. Such chips are designed specifically for small or mid-size screens; they’re capable of detecting a display's performance, energy efficiency and a number of other parameters. Renesas SP is currently one of the Apple’s suppliers.

Apple Officially Releases Safari 7.0.3 to Users Worldwide



Apple has officially released Safari 7.0.3 to users worldwide. The release comes just about a week after the latest beta, which contained some minor enhancements. Apple says that the new version is recommended for all OS X Mavericks users as it “contains improvements to compatibility, stability, and security.”

Apple to Announce Q2 2014 Earnings on April 23



According to an announcement on Apple’s official website, the company will officially report its financial results in Q2 of 2014 on April 23rd. Over the past months, Apple has neither launched new products, nor released new software. Well, I’m not taking into consideration minor iOS and OS X updates, the release of an 8GB iPhone 5c and updated iPad 4 in several countries. I don’t think these events are crucial for the company.

Apple Is Already Testing iPhone 6 at Foxconn?



According to the leaked photos that appeared on the Internet a couple of hours ago, Apple is already testing its iPhone 6 at Foxconn. The images show us metal back cover as well as some renderings of the device. 4.7-inch iPhone 6 to Be Released in September, 5.5-inch iPhone Delayed - Rumors



Apple will start the mass production of the next-gen iPhone with a 4.7-inch display in May. As to the widely-rumored 5.5-inch model, it is very likely to be delayed, Reuters reports. The same source also claims that the release of the new device will take place this fall, probably in September.

Apple Was Granted Patent for 'Transparent Texting’ Tech



Last week Apple was granted another patent entitled ‘Transparent Texting’. According to a patent application published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the company from Cupertino is planning to develop a system that will automatically change the background image of popular messaging apps and replace it with a live video feed from the device’s rear camera. Interesting idea, don’t you think so?

Japan Display to Produce 5.5-Inch Display for iPhone 6?



A company called Japan Display has recently announced the development of a 5.5-inch Quad HD (WQHD) display with a resolution of 1440x2560. As we already know, the displays for Apple’s iPhone 6 will be manufactured at Sharp's, Japan Display's and LG Electronics’ manufacturing facilities. This means that the next-gen iPhone may be equipped with a brand new display I mentioned above.

Apple to Expand Arizona Sapphire Plant Soon - Rumor



Apple and its partner GT Advanced Technologies are currently planning to expand operations at the Arizona sapphire plant. Doing so, the companies hope to increase the output of the manufacturing facility. However, it is still unknown what components (aside from sapphire screens) would that ‘expanded’ factory produce.

Recently Released Microsoft Office Apps Top App Store Charts
