iFixIt Tears Apart the New Plastic iPhone 5c

iFixIt experts have teared apart the new Apple’s plastic iPhone to show us what’s inside of the long-expected gadget. This happened on Friday - the day, when the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c were officially launched in the United States and several other countries.

The iPhone 5c can boast of a 1510mAh battery, Apple A6 processor and 1GB or RAM. All this makes it very similar to the iPhone 5. Still, it differs from it very much.

Although both new iPhones sport a similar construction and share some internals, don’t get your hopes up too high for parts cross-compatibility, thanks to the differences between the display assemblies and the differently-sized FaceTime/speaker connectors.

Below you may watch the iFixIt roundup of the iPhone 5c teardown.

Learning iOS 7: Control Center [Video]

Here's a look at the new Control Center.

Control Center gives you quick access to the controls and apps you always seem to need right this second. Just swipe up from any screen — including the Lock screen — to do things like switch to Airplane mode, turn Wi-Fi on or off, or adjust the brightness of your display. You can even shine a light on things with a new flashlight. Never has one swipe given you so much control.

Do what you need to do. Quick.
Turn on or off Airplane mode, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Do Not Disturb. Lock your screen’s orientation or adjust its brightness. Play, pause, or skip a song. Connect to AirPlay-enabled devices. And quickly access your flashlight, timer, calculator, and camera.

Let's watch the video demo:

Safari Push Notifications - One of the OS X Mavericks New Features

Safari version for OS X Mavericks will get push notifications. Take a look at the email sent to the developers by the company from Cupertino to make sure I’m not telling lies.

OS X Mavericks introduces a powerful new way to keep users engaged with your website. You can now use the Apple Push Notifications Service to send notifications to your website users, right on their Mac desktop — even when Safari isn’t running. Safari Push Notifications work just like push notifications for apps. They display your website icon and notification text, which users can click to go right to your website.

To read more about the Safari Push Notifications, visit the Apple’s official developer webpage.

Apple patents interface for 3D objects creation

Apple is going to obtain a patent for 'Working with 3D objects'. It implies the technology of generating, modifying, and manipulating 3D objects with the help of 3D gesture inputs.

Three-dimensional objects can be modified using 3D gesture inputs. For example, a 3D object shown on a touch-sensitive display can be detected, and a 3D gesture input that includes a movement of a finger or a pointing device in proximity to a surface of the touch-sensitive display can be detected. Detecting the 3D gesture input can include measuring a distance between the finger or the pointing device and a surface of the display. The 3D object can be modified according to the 3D gesture input, and the updated 3D object can be shown on the touch-sensitive display.

The 3D object can be generated based on two types of inputs. The first is a touch or a two-dimensional (2D) gesture input. The second is 3D gesture input which implies detecting a movements in proximity to a surface of the screen.
