Concept Photos of the 'New iPhone'
ADR Studios has published concept photos of the 'new iPhone' featuring three Retina Displays, an LED powered edge, and 4G LTE.
First of all it's sim-less: it doesn't use a simcard by our phone mobile operator. It can grab your data directly by the mobile network, also in 4G LTE. It uses a new audio section, with two panel speakers, on the rear of it aluminum forged unibody. All the controls are now on the top and the edge is so thin!
The great news is the new iPhone haven't just one retina display. It has three ones! One strip screen is on the top, to show you all the network infos, clocks, notifications and so on. The bottom one is for App dock, multitasking panel and so on. The central one is only for the desktop: more space, more freedom.
The home button is integrated into bottom strip display and it can be activate thanks to the closer motion sensor. In addition you've a "led powered edge". You can use it to show the strength of battery life or to show you a preferred caller: you can choose the color thanks to the led edge dedicated app.

The maker of the popular Air Display iOS app Avatron, today that it will update the app to fully support the new iPad. Air Display allows using your iPad, iPod touch or iPhone as an extra screen for your Windows or Mac computer. The video above shows how it works. The iPad acts a wireless additional monitor and OS X can work with it in the same manner as with any other display.

Apple seeded its second preview version of the upcoming OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion to developers. When introducing the new OS X operating system earlier this year, Apple noted the new version brings iOS functionality to the Mac. I0n1c Performs Untethered Jailbreak of the iPad 3 [Video]
Stefan Esser, better known as i0n1c, just announced that he has successfully performed an untethered jailbreak of the iPad 3.
Okay my iPad3,3 is now untethered jailbroken...
Although the iPhone Dev-Team already announced their own jailbreak of the device earlier today, they did not specify whether their jailbreak was tethered or untethered.
I0n1c's jailbreak will likely work on all iOS 5.1 devices including the iPhone 4S if its released. Earlier this week he posted images of a jailbroken iPad 2 on iOS 5.1.

FaceTime on Apple's new iPad not allowed over LTE
Having performed some testing, The Verge discovered that the recently-released iPad will need a Wi-Fi connection to use FaceTime, the device will not be allowed to make FaceTime calls on LTE network.
The iPad show that LTE service on the device is significantly faster than previous-generation 3G networking. Some said that the average download speed is 17 megabits per second on Verizon LTE network, while on AT&T's network it reaches 12 mbps.

Famous hacker I0n1c has just announced the successful jailbreak of iOS 5.1 on the iPad 2. He posted several prove pictures on Twitter.
No details yet, no dates for utilities and etc. No info whether this is jailbreak is untethered or not.
Samsung Sole Supplier for Retina Display in New iPad
IHS iSuppli analyst Vinita Jakhanwal claims that Samsung is currently the sole supplier of the ultra-high resolution Retina display in the new iPad.
Samsung Electronics Co. (005930) will supply the touch screen for Apple Inc. (AAPL)’s new iPad after LG Display Co. (034220) and Sharp Corp. (6753) didn’t meet the U.S. company’s quality requirements, according to an analyst with iSuppli.
Samsung, the world’s top flat-panel maker, currently is the sole vendor of the display for the 9.7-inch device, said Vinita Jakhanwal, a senior manager at iSuppli, a unit of Englewood, Colorado-based IHS Inc.
Antitrust Investigators Subpoenaed Apple For Information On Search Deal With Google
Bloomberg, Federal Trade Commission’s antitrust investigators subpoenaed Apple requesting details on the company’s agreement with Google, according to which Google has become the default search engines on iOS devices. Reportedly, last year Google Apple $1 billion in the iOS search agreement, and the subpoena is part of an antitrust investigation that is currently conducted over Google’s business practices.

What is New?

Just adding this in mainly for users who dumped their SHSH blobs. On the initial boot, the Apple TV may have a black screen for 60 seconds after setting up the Apple TV. This is normal.

Apple Will Discontinue iWork.com as of July 31 Due To Transition to iCloud
Apple sent out notifications to users who registered at its saying that the service will be discontinued as of July 31. The move comes as the company focuses on iCloud that offers users the possibility to sync documents across their various iOS devices.
Apple Using OpenStreetMap Data in iPhoto for iOS
Following the launch of Apple’s iPhoto for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch application, several reports noted that the mapping integration into the software was not Google-based. With Apple working on an in-house iOS maps product for the last couple of years, Daring Fireball's John Gruber later clarified that maps for Photo Journals and slideshows were coming directly from Apple.
The OpenStreetMap Foundation has now issued a blog post revealing that Apple is using at least some of its mapping data for these features, although it does note that Apple is using outdated mapping data and is not crediting appropriately for its usage.
The new iPhoto for iOS, however, uses Apple’s own map tiles – made from OpenStreetMap data (outside the US). [...]
