LG to Produce Flexible Displays for iWatch



According to a new report from Korea's Naver, LG will become the only supplier for flexible displays for Apple's upcoming iWatch. What is interesting about the device is that it will come in two sizes, just like the next-gen iPhone.

Samsung Sues Newspaper Called Electronic Times for $284.000



Apple's mail rival - Samsung - has sued a newspaper called Electronic Times for 300 million KRW (this is about $284,000) over the article about the company's latest flagship Galaxy S5. The authors of the publication claim the smartphone has a faulty camera, which is incorrect, Samsung believes.

Tim Cook Is Nearly the Richest Tech Company CEO in the World



Apple CEO Tim Cook has become nearly the most successful CEO of the last year. The sum he earned over 2013 is nearly $74 million. Such achievement allowed him to occupy the second spot in the richest tech CEO’s rating. As to the first and the third positions, they’re occupied by Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook with nearly $4 billion and Meg Whitman of HP with $17.6 million respectively.

12 Million People Downloaded Office for iPad - Microsoft



Just a week after the official release, iWork's main rival - Office for iPad - managed to set a new App Store record. Microsoft on Thursday announced 12 million downloads of Word, Excel and PowerPoint. What a result, huh?

Apple to Acquire Japan's Renesas SP Drivers Soon - Rumor



The company from Cupertino may soon acquire Renesas SP Drivers, a unit of Japan's Renesas Electronics that manufactures chips for smartphone displays. Such chips are designed specifically for small or mid-size screens; they’re capable of detecting a display's performance, energy efficiency and a number of other parameters. Renesas SP is currently one of the Apple’s suppliers.
