Apple to Release iPhone 6c with 'Colorful Metal Body' in February - Rumor





According to the latest report shared by Chinese insiders close to Foxconn, Apple may soon unveil the smaller iPhone with colorful metal body. In particular, the sources believe the company may announce the smartphone dubbed as the iPhone 6c in January and start selling it in February. This new device will get the support of Touch ID fingerprint sensor, but lack the support of 3D Touch technology used in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus released this fall. As to the price of this mysterious device, it is expected to be around $500-600.

Ars Technica Proves iPhone 6s Units with TSMC and Samsung Chips Have Similar Battery Life

iOS 8.4.1 vs iOS 9: Which is Faster on Your iPhone?



Now that Apple released iOS 9 to users worldwide, many people are curious about how fast is this version of Apple’s mobile operating system. It’s no secret that system performance depends on the hardware, so if you’re using an iPhone 4s with iOS 9, it will be slightly slower than the iPhone 6 with iOS 9 on board.

9to5Mac reporters have recently shot and shared a good video showing how the system performance of iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 with iOS 8.4.1 is different from system performance of the same devices with iOS 9 installed. The reporters compared the boot time, application load speed, and used a benchmark to check the overall performance. In almost all cases, iOS 9 turned out to be slightly slower than iOS 8.4.1. The browsing and Wi-Fi performance are better, though.

Samsung Announces New Gear S2 Smartwatches



Apple’s main rival, Samsung, has recently announced the Samsung Gear S2, a smartwatch with a round display. This Apple Watch rival comes in three versions, namely, Classic, standard, and 3G. The first model can boast of a black leather band and a black case while the second one features a gray case and a rubber band. The third model, as can be guessed from the name, is capable of connecting to 3G networks and thus can be used without the smartphone as a separate device.
